In my time spent here, it has become apparent to me that our future is grim. I have heard of the past cycles and of what happened before my arrival. Palitutu manipulating all of us to achieve her goals, Garland's ambition to have the cycle begin anew and the idea offered by Kalki to become the Calamity so as to create a new world.

Yet, I have seen none of you giving in to despair. At the contrary. In spite of all the hardships and trials you have faced, I have seen more hope and happiness among you than I have among the people in my homeworld. As a physician specialized in psychology, I find this fascinating.

Thus my question: how do you envision the ending to this story? Do you agree with the ideals pursued by the aforementioned people, or do you believe there is an alternative to their designs?

I have an idea to help out with the festivities, but I need just a little bit of help. With so many of us here from different cultures, I'm sure your variations of stories for them are different. So, if it's not too much trouble, could you tell some stories about them? I would really like to tell the other ~~fillies~~ children about all of them so that they can tell others, too! I mean, if there are other figures like Santa, maybe they're just as important, too!

Hi everyone,

As of the end of last month, I'm trying out the Blacksmith Job. I heard it combines with Scholar to create a Job called Alchemist that can eventually be used to make magic items. I'm familiar enough with magic, but I've never created permanent items myself. Is there anyone else who's done this kind of thing before who'd be willing to show me the basics? It'll be a while before I'm skilled enough to do it, but I want to try to use the Job's skills to reproduce magic items from my own world.

The one I got from Jessie before only works a few times before it has to be recharged, and I'd like to see if I can make something similar using Crystallis' magic instead. If I can figure it out, I'd be happy to make some items for anyone who's willing to help me learn the Blacksmith's skills or come with me to gather elemental crystals. If anyone is interested, let me know, or come and talk to me in the library or Fairy Tail's guild headquarters.

I'm guessing you're probably getting way too much mail for your liking as of late, but just so you know I'm moving the Enterprise over to Trano Golsaucia on July 01st. If you want to keep working on it, then you'll have to move your asses over there. It can barely fly, I'm not risking the Empire getting its dirty hands on it once again.

For the kids (it's to say nearly all of you): don't try to be "heroes," just leave the city. I know what you're thinking, "Oh, but we're Heroes of Light! We can't lose against the villains! And even if we die we'll be back in a week, so why should we worry?"

Well, think again kids. I know for a fact Kalki has been experimenting on ways to kill Heroes of Light for good. So if ever she did manage to make a weapon out of her work, you can be sure at least a few imperial soldiers will be equipped with it. And if they hit you, that's game over. Not trying to scare you, just trying to keep you alive.

To my fellow Heroes,

I send this letter in relation to the odd dream some weeks back. While this raises further questions about our presence in this world and its implications in past, present and future, I have a personal question that has risen out of it as well. For those of you who are from a world they might call Earth, I found myself torn from my home in the year 1721 by the common calendar. I am curious about what our world's future holds. The dream provided me hints and glimpses but I wish to know more.

In other matters, it seems that the merchant O'aka is selling some of his goods at a discounted rate for a brief time. I have included a copy of his advertisement in case the information has not yet reached the rest of you. Of particular and personal interest to me is this "Pirate" job. I am curious what power it holds. I will see if I can negotiate with Mister O'aka to lower his prices any further, and to offer myself as an intermediary for any sales before I return to Aqures Ixen later this month. I shall be spending much of this month in Aerilon, but I hope to return to Aqures Ixen by the 25th to take care of some matters.

As many of you know I have spent the latter half of last month in Aerilon in the hopes of setting up some things that may later provide useful to us. Due to the history of our letters being intercepted I shall not go into detail on my plans, but any who wish to provide aid may feel free to contact me directly or in person. In particular, I am looking for those of us who have experience with information gathering and traveling in less than classically legal circles. If you wish to meet in person to discuss matters, please send me a reply.

Greetings, the name's Cid and I used to run most of this kingdom and the Magitek Research Facility years ago. To all of those who helped me last month, you have my thanks (even though you didn't really come for me, I just got lucky to be in your path and then you needed my ship to flee anyway). More importantly, you are a bunch of complete idiots. There's nothing wrong with that, the vast majority of this world is made of idiots, but don't confuse stupidity for bravery. What you did was the former and not the later. If you want to save the world, you'll need a healthy mixture of both.

With that out of the way, I know the Queen better than anyone and if she's said you're the Heroes of Light, that's proof enough for me. Wedge's told me about the little crystallization problem we're facing and it's my understanding you guys have no idea what to do. I'll be frank, if you're expecting Biggs and Wedge to give you any indications as to what to do, we're all doomed. What I'm saying is that once you're done reading this letter, you should get off your asses and start thinking about what to do. And if you've already tried, obviously you're doing something wrong so try again.

This doesn't mean we can't help. I've got an Airship here, the Enterprise and she can reach the Continent of Ruins. You'll need her more than I, so I'm giving you free use of the ship. If you're to save this world, you'll need an airship that can stand against Imperial Warships and take you where you need. The problem is that the ship was damaged during the escape and won't be able to fly again for at least a couple months, maybe more. That's where you come in. I've got engineers from Esdham working on the ship but that's not gonna be enough, at this rate we'll still be there next year.

If any of you have any knowledge or even otherworldly technology to share that would speed up the Enterprise's repair, of if you just want to work on repairing her, reply to that letter and lemme know.

I know that there are things going on, but I still want to ask something about something I found when the eggs were around.

I'm not quite sure what exactly to do with it, but my moogle said it's something called Orichalcum and that it's good for making unbreakable armour and weapons, but it's not something I can use myself I don't think. So I thought I would ask everyone here if they might want something like this, or if there is something I can do with it.

Dear Heroes,

I’m glad to see what progress has been made on the observatory. I am happy to say that I have been able to clean a few room including a room that I set up as a meeting room as well as a large room that within the month should be furnished with beds should we need barracks of some sort.

The stables are well underway and almost completely constructed. I know there are a few large animals from people’s homes and they are welcome to use this space as well as chocobo knights to keep your birds close. There is only room for 10 at this moment but I’m hoping to can expand the space should we need it.

I will be tending to the animals kept there as well as keeping the gardens tended. Since its spring I’m going to start planting things around the building and making space for outside gatherings. I have been trying to head up the project of putting the observatory back together. There are more rooms in the basement that have also fallen into disrepair. If there are any suggestions as to what the heroes would like in these rooms please let me know, also any help would be appreciated. I am always at the observatory and will be happy to meet with anyone.

Also those willing to help with these rebuild efforts. I have some money I’ve been using to buy things for the rooms but it won’t be enough for the whole building. If anyone if able to lend a hand or do odd jobs to help us raise funds it will be helpful. I’m also going to ask the city if there is anything we can do as a hole to procure funds for the restoration.

I seem to have found a dark blue crystal inside a strange egg I found at the Old Weapon Shop. Apparently it can be infused into a weapon to imbue it with the water element. I highly doubt I am lucky enough to be the only one to find something like this. Did anyone else find something interesting?

Also, aside from inviting others to join me in my regular training routine, I'm available as a weapons teacher. I can teach swordplay techniques and offer sparring practice. If people with other skills would like to form a network to help train others who need help with said skill, I am willing to help facilitate that networking.

Okay!

So I've been in Aqures Ixen for a few weeks now and I've seen my first ever Fire Crystal. We don't have them where we're from so it's a new thing for me... Well... I guess a lot of things in Aqures Ixen are new for me.

Frankie is new to me as well but he's my pal and if anybody gives him any trouble or picks on him in any way, you'll be hearing from me. If you have an extra one lying around, give him a kupo nut and a kind word, that's all I ask.

So I'm a Red Mage by trade in this world and... I'm actually looking for a specific weapon type or I have to find someone who can teach me how to use a sword.

So... nunchaku or swords.

Or... directions to a weapon shop because the makeshift set I made while locked up in that research facility kinda bit the big one.

Overall, if you've encountered this message, congratulations on encountering Frankie, faithful friend of Selphie.

PS: Bonus points if there happens to be a train or two in this world because they are way more awesome than airships.

To My Fellow Heroes,

A lot has transpired in the past month, and while some might say it is not a necessity, I am wondering if there might be some of you interested in an idea I have been formulating over the past few weeks. I realize that the government here, as well as the neighboring kingdoms, have some sort of conscripted military force that acts as a defensive shield to the people here.

I want to stress that fighting is never the proper solution, but given recent circumstances I am inclined to think that we stand to be better prepared for such things if we are to be here for some time. My proposition is this: a small militia, a collection of knights and guardians who can be at the call of the city for whenever they are needed. Not just for the heroes, but the fair citizens of Aquares Ixen. It goes without saying that the Crystal of Fire is indeed a very important landmark, and the people who reside here are just as significant and important. If such a team already exists, then please disregard this notice. Otherwise, I implore you to reach out to me so we might organize and see just what can be done to ensure the safety of this land, its people, and its history.

If you've talent with a sword or with magic, any help would be greatly appreciated. Ideally, I would like to keep our numbers somewhat small at first, if only to see just how effective of a group we can be. Patrolling, surveillance, and many other tasks that would help to keep our new home all the more safer, that is the sort of team that I am looking to try and gather.

I am open to any ideas that you might have in regards to such a request, as well as opinions you might be holding to. I eagerly await what replies you might have.

So, I got an Invisibility Crystal for helping capture a Chocobo Eater for the old man at the Monster Arena. I don't really have any plans to take the Ninja Job, though. I was hoping I could make a trade with someone. Does anyone have a Crystal of Illusion? I already have some time invested in the Illusionist Job, so that would be a lot more useful for me.
