So, I got an Invisibility Crystal for helping capture a Chocobo Eater for the old man at the Monster Arena. I don't really have any plans to take the Ninja Job, though. I was hoping I could make a trade with someone. Does anyone have a Crystal of Illusion? I already have some time invested in the Illusionist Job, so that would be a lot more useful for me. Please let me know.

Dear Chiaki,

I received some Crystals of Illusion from some who had gone into the facility with the rescue party. If you would like to come and get one. I will be happy to find a home for your Invisibility Crystal. I can think of at least one person that might want one and I hope to distribute these crystals appropriately.

[And later on that day, Chiaki shows up at the observatory, Invisiblity Crystal in hand.]

Zelda? Are you here?

[Her voice rang from one of the back rooms that Zelda was a slowly turning into a bed room. She steps from the dusty area and shakes her head making sure that there isn't any dust settled in her hair. Her hair is tied back and she is dressed in a simple dress with an apron.]

Am I interrupting?

[She looks pretty busy.]

Not at all.

[Zelda's smile was bright as she walked over to the main desk where she had stored the crystals.]

I have the crystal here. [She took the shard from the group and holds it out for Chiaki to take.]

I was thinking of someone you could give that crystal too and I thought of someone. If your alright with taking it to her for me?

[Chiaki reaches out for the crystal, turning it over curiously in her hands before securing it in the inside pocket of her robe.]

Someone? I don't mind, I guess.

I was thinking Yuffie.

[She knew of the little ninja through Link having had her harp stolen shortly after she had gotten it back. She was one of the four taken to the empire also.]

So you know her?

Yeah. We've talked a few times. I don't really know her well, but I can at least deliver the crystal.

If you need anything else please let me know. [She smiles] I hope that these crystals can be useful though I am thinking of keeping one of each type for study. We might be able to create them.

That's a good idea. If we can start mass producing these, it'll be really useful for future Heroes. It's got to be possible, since the Heran Empire seems to have so many of them.

That is my hope or at least to understand them a little better.

[Zelda smiles making sure the crystals are tucked away safely. She hasn't broadcast that she had them just yet.]

You should talk to MarKus. I loaned him a book I had on crystal energy. He knows a lot about energy conversion and is working on the Blacksmith Job, so if anyone is prepared to understand how we could start to make our own crystals, it's probably him.

I will. I think I told him I would lend him something as well so I will make sure to stop by and ask him

[She smiles.]

Experiment. Once I find out how power is drawn from crystals, like the ones in airships, they'll be put to work powering things or testing them at least.

I need better tools.

Actually, I have a book about that. I got it from the research facility in the Imperial City during the tour. It's pretty advanced stuff, but you can borrow it if you want.

I would very much like that book please. I build and repaired giant robots on the regular so I'm fairly confident I can read it just fine.

Eventually. I have to figure out how the crystals work first... and what they would even do... But yeah, there IS that... though, I wouldn't make anyone wear Imperial equipment.

I don't think it's that big a deal. Armor is armor. Besides, you usually find a lot of the best stuff in Imperial territory in games.

Although I don't really have a use for your crystal, I was wondering if you could maybe explain them? It sounds like they're different from the other ones we received, so are the Invisibility and Illusion crystals you mentioned related to our jobs somehow? Sorry for all the questions, but this is pretty new to me.

If you're looking for a particular kind of crystal, though, I could always keep an eye out?

Sure. The Invisibility Crystal and Crystal of Illusion are special crystals you can equip to enhance the capabilities of the Ninja and Illusionist Jobs respectively. Think of them like accessories. When you have one while you have one of those Jobs equipped, it opens up a secret skill that you can't access any other way.
