Greetings, KUPO.

I am here to help you.

There is an evil man who killed Zelda a couple months back, KUPO. I can help you find and stop him, but you need to trust me.

You'll find him on the 18th of October, in the 12th District at 15:00, KUPO. He'll be disguised as a dark-haired woman wearing a yellow dress and apple-shaped sunglasses. He's already been there before and plans on stealing the remnants of Ultima WEAPON to create an abomination that will kill you all, KUPO.

My information may be inexact so you'll have to improvise. But you can't waste time trying to call people out or playing nice, KUPO. If you do, he'll teleport away or take over one of you. You need to neutralize him before he has a chance to realize what's happening, KUPO. Please burn this letter and don't speak about this through Mognet or between each other till then. If you do, he may catch wind of this and not show up at all, KUPO.

[ This letter comes in a purple envelope, sealed with the crest of the royal family of Aqures Ixen. ]

How’s it going kids? I hear you got a letter from Biggs. Didn’t read it, but I can’t imagine its content being anything less than divine nectar in written form. It’s always a joy speaking with him.

Mind you, I can’t say I’d have had the guts to shoot a friend of mine, even if they had been possessed. That’s the right decision, but certainly not an easy one. Many of you know it and knew it then; for the most part anyway. Twilight, Shining— You guys aren’t getting any honorable mentions here. Get off your high pony.

On to the actual topic of the letter: got mail from Esdham, you may count on support from their militaries to fight Palitutu. Maybe Airships, I’ll need to ask more details. I also got wind from a few friends that Mysidia might lend you some forces for the battle too. Not sure what this means, I didn’t even know they had a military.

Either way, this promises to be one massive battle. There are a whole lot of people out there who believe in you and they’re readying themselves to help you against your enemy. This makes me feel kind of bad seeing as to how Aqures got nearly nothing to give you, so I’m going to lend you the Enterprise once more. You did good use of it to fight King Moogle Mog in the past, so maybe you’ll get some more use out of her. Of course, I don’t need to mention I’m the one you’ll have to fight if the ship’s going down during the battle.

RE: War

The content of this letter isn’t for everyone. Pretty sure the concerned parties will recognize themselves soon enough.

We got a report from what’s happened on the 03rd. I don’t know if you’re Heroes of Light. I know even less what Heroes of Light are supposed to be. But that’s not important. You’re people and you’re fighting in a war, whatever your reasons are. That’s what matters.

War isn’t pretty. People die. Sometimes people we care about, sometimes people we couldn’t give any less of a damn for. Some of you get it. Some of you don’t. On the 03rd, a great number of people we don’t care about died. We don’t even know their names; they’re only numbers on a list. You’ve had a chance to prevent more of these people from dying, but to do that you would have had to kill one of your own. Of course, you prioritized her safety and more of these nameless people did die.

I don’t care what you believe in, how things work back in your home world or whatnot. You’re not going to save anyone with poetry and flowers. If you can’t or aren’t willing to fight and kill when necessary, don’t get in the way of those who can do it. You’re being only a hindrance and nobody will applaud you for standing by some stupid moral standards.

Short version: if killing is too much for you, then stay home and wait for the Calamity to destroy the world.

[ This letter comes unsigned and written in an unfamiliar handwriting. If an attempt to track it is made, the Mognet Office of Aqures Ixen will find out it seems to have been sent by someone in the Heroes of Light network.]

Dear Heroes of Light.

When you equip Time Mage and Illusionist together after having fulfilled the potential of both Jobs, you can catch a glimpse of the future. Hence, what Ib has said is true. If you go to meet her, Palitutu will summon Ultima WEAPON to attack you. If you do not go, I surmise she will send Ultima WEAPON to track and attack you all anyway. Palitutu doesn't believe there is an alternative.

But you know better than that, don't you?

The key to defeating Ultima WEAPON lies in your skills and courage. If you all work together as one, you may prevail against her.

It has been a long time, hasn’t it? Being the astute observers I know you are, you must be aware all life on Crystallis will have been crystallized within less than eight months. Once this is done, the Calamity will destroy and absorb this dimension. Following the destruction of this realm, the Calamity will keep doing the only thing it can do: destroy universes until it is stopped or until nothing remains.

The destruction of all existence must be prevented at any costs. This is the reason of your presence here—I believe you have already unlocked my report on the first Heroes of Light. The Ancients did something unacceptable, but that was then and this is now. The system they built to keep Crystallis alive is the only thing that can stop the Calamity. By using it, Crystallis will grow strong enough to fight back the Calamity and keep it sealed for two more thousands years.

An imperfect solution, but the only one that has proved reliable. Reluctant as you might be, most of you are already ready for Garland to set Nova Crystallis in motion. In the end, either you will confront him in Pandemonium as did countless past Heroes of Light or he will do as he pleases. I expect you to try stopping Garland or put a plan of your own into motion. Past Heroes of Light did so and risked all of existence in the name of their hopes. I, however, will not allow it. I shall not wait till the very last moment and risk for all existence to be denied simply because you will it so.

On the 03rd of August, I will meet you all on the Calm Plains. I will wait for your answer until then. If you believe you can stop the Calamity without sacrifices or another way, then you will have to prove it to me on that day. If you fail to prove it, this day will be the end of your story and the beginning of a new cycle.

You can contact me if you so wish. I will get any letters addressed to my name. However, anyone trying to track the letter and mailing process will be killed. Permanently.

Greetings.

It’s been a long time, but I have some things to share. We are investigating what’s happened with the other group of Heroes of Light last week. Unfortunately, we haven’t turned up anything. The healers are at a loss, as are our researchers. The only certainty is that all these heroes of light dying at the same time cannot be a coincidence. Someone or something must have been behind this. They had been just fine for months and died shortly after reaching Mysidia and Aqures Ixen. As it is, we cannot exclude the possibility there is an enemy in this city or Mysidia.

Also, the Moogles working at Palitutu’s Laboratory communicated us a report about the Crystal of Fire. According to them, its energy levels are far below what it was two years ago and they keep dropping, especially when more of you come in. They say at this rate, it’ll be at the same level of energy than the other Crystals in a year, maybe even less. Practically, it means there won’t be any more Heroes of Light coming to Crystallis once this happens. It might also affect your immortality and crystal stasis, but how we don’t know yet.

Jessie, I mean Palitutu, would probably have the answer to all these questions, but we haven’t heard anything from her since the imperial attack last year. The Crystal of Fire running out of energy at the same time the Calamity is expected to have completely crystallized the planet is certainly not a coincidence either. She must have planned for this. You have to prepare yourself not to play into her hand.

If you know anything, please tell us. I’ll inform you as soon as we get any concrete information.

You know, the people root for you. They really, really like you and think you'll save the world. Not just the people in Aqures Ixen, but to a lesser extent in Trano and Balicea too, and probably a bit in other cities as well. They truly believe you're all a bunch of heroes out to save the world. Even children look up to you. And that's great! I'm rooting for you too, in my own way.

But then, you've got the morons. People named, I don't know, Deadpool or Reno, maybe? That kind of morons, who think cheating in an official election is the best thing to do. I actually like Merlose and think she's deserved her victory. But then, we've got people over here who asked, did she win because she's competent or because the Heroes of Light rigged the election?

And suddenly, you're no longer heroes in the eyes of the people, you're just another bunch of crooks in a rotted world. Now, Wedge is pleading for you and that accident probably won't have lasting consequences. Merlose won by quite a margin so I doubt what these two idiots did changed much anyway. You may have a few Moogles side-eying you for awhile though.

And don't think just because you're called Heroes of Light, we'll think of you as Heroes regardless of what you do. If you start acting like criminals, the people will think of you as such. I know most of you know better, so keep an eye on those who would compromise your reputation.

Heroes of Light (and the Moogles presumably reading this even if they shouldn’t);

Upon laying your eyes on this, I can only guess you’re wondering just who is wasting your time with yet another piece of paper you'll end up throwing into the bin. Am I a cowardly Hero of Light who’s been hiding ever since he arrived and is only now driven to socialize out of fear to starve? Nah, not really. Maybe I am a recently elected representative of the government out for your gil? That would be a logical assumption but you would be wrong (though, watch out for taxes anyway). Or am I someone relevant to your interests and who will further your search for answers?

Couldn't be more wrong. Last month some of you busted into Garland’s prison and freed me (it seems being patriotic was considered to be a crime, imperials laws are in dire need of revisions). I followed you to this city and ever since then I'm enjoying freedom for what it is. What's not to like here, really, besides the sensation up in the air that the world is on the verge of ending. I took some fresh air and time for myself after having spent something like twenty years rotting down there, but it’s time for introductions.

My name is Narasimha, but I’m sure you’ll find a quantity of better names to call me. "That new guy" at first, "the other idiot" if you didn't like this letter or "the grumpy dude from the prison" to make things simple. And I guess more innovative ones once we'll know each other better. I’d like to repay you for everything you’ve done, but the Empire kind of sold everything I possessed before getting imprisoned. But heh, I guess Heroes like you probably don’t care for money anyway so I’ll find something better to repay you with. It might take some time, but I’m sure I’ll find something good.

I’m still catching up on the years I’ve lost, and I hope to be able to meet you all soon. Heroes of Light! If I had been told I’d be saved by that, I would have laughed it off. But you have my thanks. You’ve been helping a lot of people I hear. Keep up the good work, millions are rooting for you.

Hello, Kupo.

I want to say I've not caused any troubles ever since you saved me from the death row, Kupo. I thank you for that. You're probably aware that there are elections ongoing in Mognet. There have been issues so they have been reported to next month, or so I've heard anyway, Kupo.

I've been thinking. If I become the new Director of Mognet, I could help you a lot. I could cut off Mognet from your enemies, spy on important mognet content from people you suspect from being up to no good and use the money generated by Mognet to help your cause, Kupo! Of course, I couldn't become director of Mognet on my own, so I would need your help to interfere with the election and help me. But if you do help me, I promise to do anything I can to help you in return and I'll still be under conditional liberty and under your surveillance.

You still have till next month to think about this, Kupo. I know this may not sound legal or honest, but I think this is something that could benefit to us all. After what Artemicion did, it would only be normal for you to meddle in Mognet affairs, right, Kupo?

(Character Name),

I'm sorry I never could meet you personally. I wanted to be there when it all begun, but I have something very important to do. There are many forces in this world working against you, but there are just as many working to help you, even if you cannot see them. Sometimes it may seem as though you are alone, as though the whole world is against you and there is no hope. But I believe in you.

I have seen what you have done with the Village of Santa Claus, and this is your true strength. You can change this world, you can help its people and rekindle the flame that we lost. And now, the people of this world believe in you as well. The Heroes of Light who came before believed it was possible to save everyone, to end this cycle. I do not know how it is possible, but I know that you can accomplish whatever you want if you put your mind into it. This story has yet to end, but you hold the power to make the ending you dream of come true.

There is so much I would like to tell you, but my time is limited and sending this package has already put me at risk. Please do not look for me. In the past you protected me, but now it is my turn to protect you.

Have a Merry Starlight Celebration.
Sincerely;

Sarah Fainaru Til Aqures XV
Queen of the Kingdom of Aqures

P.S.

To anyone who spoke to Sarah during the Genesis event
I cannot thank you enough for what you did back then.
I was so young and I didn't understand everything. One
day, I hope to be able to repay your kindness and save
you from this world.

To anyone who went to look for her in the player plot
I heard of what happened to you when you went looking for
you. I am so sorry. Please, do not try again. When the time
will come, I will find you.

To Luffy
I have never let go of it until now. But I don't want you
to take any more inconsiderate risks.

To Ashelia
I know it may seem as though I have broken my promise, but
I never have. I am closer than you think, and I have led
as many of you as I can to safety upon waking up in Crystallis.

So now that you'll all fresh and rested from your time-travel adventures, I need your help. Jessie's Laboratory is a mess and quite honestly, I have neither the time nor patience to try and decipher what this crazy Tarutaru has left behind. Those of you who are familiar with machines and computers or who are scientists like me, if you can help that would be wonderful. Those with maxed Scholar Jobs are welcome as well-- Everything is written in Ancient.

The priority for now is to reestablish the function to give you new Jobs and the stuff you need (though seriously, for an entire year she's given you stuff from your homeworlds and you never questioned her? Stupidity knows no bounds).

She also has files on all of you. I haven't looked at them, but some of the Moogles did and they're already gossiping (stuff about Nevada being emotionally unavailable, Sephiroth being god or a few of you coming from unhealthy towers, I don't know). I'd recommend visiting her lab at least once to put a lock on your personal files before the Moogles get out of hand.

Biggs will be back in business soon and Wedge, well we don't really know yet. Whatever Jessie did to him, that hit him hard.

Dear Clients;

Considering you've all been excellent associates so far and since Palitutu has disappeared, I'm gonna bring my services closer to you. I have many items of Imperial origins that could be of use to people like you. My shop in Aerilon is a little bit out of the way for you, but no worries, I've got it all under control. A friend of mine will take all of your orders in Aqures Ixen. He's a Hypello wearing a black coat, you'll be able to find him drinking stuff in the eleventh district's pub (though I hear he's taken a liking to Cuppa Kupo too lately).

With this letter is a list of the stuff I got on sale. You give the money and it'll be sent to you within forty-eight hours.

I'm guessing you're probably getting way too much mail for your liking as of late, but just so you know I'm moving the Enterprise over to Trano Golsaucia on July 01st. If you want to keep working on it, then you'll have to move your asses over there. It can barely fly, I'm not risking the Empire getting its dirty hands on it once again.

For the kids (it's to say nearly all of you): don't try to be "heroes," just leave the city. I know what you're thinking, "Oh, but we're Heroes of Light! We can't lose against the villains! And even if we die we'll be back in a week, so why should we worry?"

Well, think again kids. I know for a fact Kalki has been experimenting on ways to kill Heroes of Light for good. So if ever she did manage to make a weapon out of her work, you can be sure at least a few imperial soldiers will be equipped with it. And if they hit you, that's game over. Not trying to scare you, just trying to keep you alive.

Hello. Civilian Mognet will be down for the entirety of next month. We have an agreement with the governments of Aqures Ixen and Esdham, and to avoid Mognet being used by the Empire this is without a doubt the best possible solution.

Government officials, law enforcement employees and the militaries will still have access to Mognet. As Heroes of Light, you will keep your access to Mognet as well. With a limited service, this means we are going to have a lot more of our employees available. As such, we will be able to secure your letters and make sure they cannot fall in enemy hands. Attached is a copy of the evacuation schedule. You don't have to wait till July 01st, if you want to leave you can take a regular Shoopuf Airline airship until then. I know Jessie wants you to stay, but as Heroes of Light, you are probably more endangered than any of us, not to mention far more important to the future of this world. Don't waste your lives.

However, if you would like to assist with the evacuation process, it would be very helpful. We expect there will be many people refusing leaving for a reason or another. Some because they've always lived here, others because they aren't afraid of the Empire, etc. It's also the Festival of Light soon. Needless to say we're going to cancel it, but some optimists may want to stay. Anyone staying here risks death.

Thanks.

For everyone else-- I believe by now Biggs told you of the situation. It is true I believe you shouldn't leave Aqures Ixen. It is because I think there is something you can do to cripple the imperial armies, and it is related to my question. Biggs will have a meeting to discuss strategy soon.

However, if you are afraid to stand against the empire or believe it wiser for you to leave the city, please do so. I believe Wedge has already organized a schedule for evacuation airships. Hotels in Trano Golsaucia and Flence should welcome you for free due to the emergency.

RE: Imperial Fleet

I've told a few of you that the Empire was preparing a fleet. We expected them to take their people somewhere safe, but that's not what they're doing. According to our Intel, they're gathering their armies to attack Aqures Ixen. Esdham has confirmed our information. At the current rate, they should attack sometimes during July.

We're going to start evacuating the civilians to Trano and Flence once the World Cup over. I would tell you to leave as well, but Jessie says you should stay. Dunno what's on her mind, but odds are you're half the reason the Empire wants to attack us. Keep quiet about this, we don't want panic to take over the streets.

Those in the Law Enforcement, contact me if you'd like to help. Those who want to help but are neither in this nor the army, I think Jessie will contact you at some point.

Greetings, the name's Cid and I used to run most of this kingdom and the Magitek Research Facility years ago. To all of those who helped me last month, you have my thanks (even though you didn't really come for me, I just got lucky to be in your path and then you needed my ship to flee anyway). More importantly, you are a bunch of complete idiots. There's nothing wrong with that, the vast majority of this world is made of idiots, but don't confuse stupidity for bravery. What you did was the former and not the later. If you want to save the world, you'll need a healthy mixture of both.

With that out of the way, I know the Queen better than anyone and if she's said you're the Heroes of Light, that's proof enough for me. Wedge's told me about the little crystallization problem we're facing and it's my understanding you guys have no idea what to do. I'll be frank, if you're expecting Biggs and Wedge to give you any indications as to what to do, we're all doomed. What I'm saying is that once you're done reading this letter, you should get off your asses and start thinking about what to do. And if you've already tried, obviously you're doing something wrong so try again.

This doesn't mean we can't help. I've got an Airship here, the Enterprise and she can reach the Continent of Ruins. You'll need her more than I, so I'm giving you free use of the ship. If you're to save this world, you'll need an airship that can stand against Imperial Warships and take you where you need. The problem is that the ship was damaged during the escape and won't be able to fly again for at least a couple months, maybe more. That's where you come in. I've got engineers from Esdham working on the ship but that's not gonna be enough, at this rate we'll still be there next year.

If any of you have any knowledge or even otherworldly technology to share that would speed up the Enterprise's repair, of if you just want to work on repairing her, reply to that letter and lemme know.

– Cid of Roalie
