To All Heroes
To Everybody:
Whether we've met or not, I'd appreciate a reply from as many people as are willing, especially if you didn't just come from a version of Earth.
So, let's talk holidays. Christmas, I was willing to let pass as a coincidence. Any civilized planet out there with a winter season ends up with some version of a winter solstice. It doesn't matter the time or the planet or the alien race, they've got some kind of tradition that we would recognize. Celebration for being 'almost out of the dark,' as a friend of mine would put it.
But Valentine's Day? Definitely a product of Earth, of a specific time period of Earth, to be sure. At least, in my experience. And that's where you guys come in. Anybody else, not from Earth, have a custom or a legend like this? Something specifically surrounding a holiday, something that's celebrated. Also, is anybody else reading up on Aqures Ixen legends enough to know if we're going all going to be dealing with rabbits and eggs in two months? If so, I'm calling shenanigans now.

Another Earth holiday, if it's the next one to come after this, there's definitely something very strange going on. Because this has all the similar trappings to the Earth holiday, but the story is different. So, none of this rings any bells, no hearts or flowers or candy, giving gifts to a significant other?

Captain Jack Harness:
Don't you give those things on any special day? Flowers aren't the sort of thing you reserve for one particular holiday.

The rabbits and eggs, it was kind of a joke, but it's a reference to another Earth holiday that should be happening in about two months, Easter. That one also involves a lot of candy, actually.

All the younger kids seem to enjoy St. Valentine's Day or whatever they call it. It's quite cute. I think I know what you're talking about. Perhaps, it's not all that different.
Rabbits and eggs you say?
That's certainly fascinating

Well, nice to meet you. This is a weird question, but did you just come from Earth, or a different world, before you were here?
And you have Valentine's Day, but not Easter? It's another Earth holiday, should be in about two months. I was kind of joking about it, but, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about why there are some cultural things similar to Earth here. Where could they have picked it up from?

While I am not from Earth, my old profession had me interfering in the destinies of those from it on a few occasions. In my experience not EVERY earth has those, or at least every Earth that we or our allies had done business with, celebrates that particular holiday. As for rabbits and eggs, perhaps the spirits involved with that have extended their reach with those from their world as well as Cupid has extended his?

Nice to meet you, I guess this bring up so many more questions, then. I've traveled time and space before, but I haven't jumped dimensions. If you've dealt with multiple Earths, I'm guessing that you have? What's your experience, for lack of a better word, with Earth?

We were trying to think of how this could happen, and I could only come up with one idea. So like 2000 years ago, another batch of heroes were brought here, right? What if they were from Earth too, and taught the locals about their holidays? I could see where ones like Christmas and Valentine's would stick. But 2000 years is a damn long time. Could they really survive that long?
Anyway, that's all I got. This sort of thing isn't really my strong suit.

Here's the weird part. Everybody's getting pulled from different times and places here, too, right? Inter-dimensional travel, it's hard to explain. But these Heroes of Light from 2000 years ago, here, could have been pulled through from the same time periods as us. What if we're looking at another 2000 years of drift on the holidays we know?
Enh, it's a thought, but this is possibly confirming that there's an Earth cultural influence on the world here.

Your housemate here, silly man, asking questions when we're in the same house.
It's been a while, but that day sounds rather familiar. A day where you celebrate love, correct? I was in a cage of a town for six years and I'm quite certain it was celebrated more than once. But, as for the world I came from before that... well, human holidays were inconsequential. I was out to destroy them, not mingle amongst them and their lovely women.

Hey, this way I've got everybody's responses in a pile. Besides,
it gets Mogwen out of the houseI am a dumb stupid-head who would be lost without my trusty moogle.Ah, correct, that would be the one. But, either of the worlds you were from, were either of them called Earth, or different things? And they had humans living on them?

You speak of the holidays of Earth and Valentine's day is one I'm familiar with. The thing that has me curious is your talk of time periods. I've heard mention that some people here are from the same world but different points in time, but you're among the few to speak of being from Earth.
What year are you from, if I might ask?

Nice to meet you. That's actually very very helpful, I'm looking for as many differences as I am similarities with this world. Can you tell me a little bit about the world you come from, then? Was it called Earth, or something different?

There isn't something set in stone but it is common for people to express how they feel about each other around the same time each year. In this case though it had to do with the time of the harvest and when people would have the time to spend together. Usually it was in spring because there was less to do.
I have been researching the legends here and they have some interesting holidays though not all are celebrated by every town and city on this world. The legend associated with this holidays worries me a little bit but I suppose things like this happen. I only wish that everyone can follow their hearts.
~Zelda

That makes an awful lot of sense. It kind of falls in the same place for Earth, towards the end of winter, but before Spring and the planting season, only for us, it also got tied to a religious holiday? Kind of complicated, but interesting.
The Valentine's story from Earth doesn't have that kind of tragic twist to it that this one does. Sounds a bit too familiar in other ways, though.
But what about you? Planning on doing anything for this holiday, then?

The only thing as close to this celebration that I have had the misfortune of being involved in was one created by the company I worked for in order to celebrate their most greatest creation: us SOLDIERs. The smaller cities and towns followed suit, though it wasn't as commercialized as it was directly at the city.

Well, nice to meet you. I've heard your name before. Can you tell me more about the world you just came from, then? Earth is very different from here, no magic, no monsters, but more advanced technology. Which is why I'm highly confused as to why so many Earth cultural things seem to be popping up here. Is your world more similar to here?
