To Everybody:

Whether we've met or not, I'd appreciate a reply from as many people as are willing, especially if you didn't just come from a version of Earth.

So, let's talk holidays. Christmas, I was willing to let pass as a coincidence. Any civilized planet out there with a winter season ends up with some version of a winter solstice. It doesn't matter the time or the planet or the alien race, they've got some kind of tradition that we would recognize. Celebration for being 'almost out of the dark,' as a friend of mine would put it.

But Valentine's Day? Definitely a product of Earth, of a specific time period of Earth, to be sure. At least, in my experience. And that's where you guys come in. Anybody else, not from Earth, have a custom or a legend like this? Something specifically surrounding a holiday, something that's celebrated. Also, is anybody else reading up on Aqures Ixen legends enough to know if we're going all going to be dealing with rabbits and eggs in two months? If so, I'm calling shenanigans now.

I am unsure to be honest. There is someone I like but I don't think it is met to be.

Oh no. Come on, you never know until you talk to them, don't count yourself out without even trying. So who is it? I'm not gonna tell anybody. And there's nobody I'm chasing here. Who do you have your eye on?

It's a man named Baralai. There was a time when we were close but he's forgotten it. I suppose this Baralai isn't meant for me but maybe the other me that is here?

You see, its a little complicated.

Consider my foot completely in my mouth at this point. I had forgotten about that. I'm sorry.

This other you? For lack of a better term? Is she you from your past or your future? Or did whatever's bringing us here manage to get someone who had made completely different choices? Don't suppose you'd quite understand the idea of a parallel world with the same people?

It's fine. It isn't a usual situation.

She is from my past but with memories that I don't share. Though it seems she is following the same path as me and so far our worlds sound exactly alike. I'm not sure and I haven't wanted to pry into her affairs.

This isn't precisely unheard of. Kind of the exact idea behind parallel worlds would be the difference between you and the other Yuna. We all come from different worlds, some where magic exists, some where it doesn't. Some far in the past or the future from each other.

In theory, all these worlds exist in some kind of space. All stacked on top of each other in metaphysical space. Sometimes the barriers between these spaces can accidentally tear. Or intentionally.

You and the other Yuna, you might come from worlds right next to each other. Where there are only a few differences, a few choices that went a different way, that had huge repercussions.

The full theory's a lot more complicated than that, but I hope it brings you a little comfort.
