Hey,

I've been checking out the area around the Crystal of Fire and in the hospital.  I didn't see any of the people who showed up in crystal stasis at the beginning of the month.  I'm not really sure what it means.  I have some guesses, but I don't want to make them out loud before I know more.  But there's nothing to worry about right now... I think.

[At some point during the day, Chiaki can be seen walking out of the area set aside for professional Triple Triad games in Aqures Ixen, carrying a large bag with the letter 'G' written on the side.  The very familiar jingle-jangle of a big stack of fat loot can be heard coming from within.]

The lovely blonde had more-or-less followed Chiaki, and made no effort to hide that she was... It's kind of hard when you have 14 feet of hair trailing you, but, she has little to do on her own, and decided that Chiaki's day would be more interesting than her own.

Of course, she doesn't approach her properly until she's hanging out, loafing about her huge satchel of "G". "Oh my, how rich you've become. All from playing a game?", she says, giving a playful pat on the girl's shoulder... more like a tap as if playing tag with her.

[By this point, Chiaki is slowly getting used to the small playful physical gestures from Val, and appreciates that she's kept it slow on that front with respect to her own strange issues. She offers a small smile to her housemate, nodding at her question.]

Yup. The cash prizes for competing professionally are pretty good if you can manage to win consistently.

"Isn't it dangers to go about flaunting such a large bag of loot. There are thieves about. And as I understand, a whole 'job' dedicated to it." As such she's making active grabby-hands for the bag, in a rather wiggley-fingered, lecherous manner. Not unlike fondling.

But there's too much of it to carry in my pockets.

[Chiaki slowly moves the bag out of the way.]

"Perhaps then you'd like some help lugging it around. Or we should take it home before something bad happens." Her playful grasps at the air continue a while longer, chasing the bag down, teasing her housemate.

"I'm no stranger to carrying around large things." she says, pushing her chest out a bit, which is still robed because of the weather.

Yeah, I was going to take it back home with me. It's the best place to keep it outside of depositing it with a bank NPC, and I haven't met one yet.

[Chiaki tilts her head and blinks at dat chest. She's not that great at innuendo.]

Do you have a second bag to put some of it in?

[Yup, whoooosh, right over her head.]

She huffs. Come now girl, get the jokes. Raise your head away from the arcade cabinet.

"Yes, I do." she sighs, reaching under her robes to produce one. It's not the largest but, she has, a couple of times, use it for her hair. So it's well sized.

[That's only half the problem, really. But keep at it, Val. She'll graduate from obliviousness to active embarrassment eventually.]

Okay. Open it up and I'll pour some in.

The woman more than happily opens up her bag to let some of the money get shifted over.

However she makes a deliberate, teasing groan as it happens. Awkwaaaaard!

[Chiaki looks up at Val's face as she makes that sound, blinking a bit.]

Are you okay?

"Oh, juuuust fine, dear." she giggles.

[line_piece]

[Nodding, she finishes pouring the coins in.]

There. That should be about half. Thanks for helping.

"But of course dear. Should I run this home right away then?" she offers, hoisting the bag over her shoulder not unlike Chiaki was... but for no reason at all!

We can go back together.

[Chiaki covers her mouth with her free hand, squeaking out a yawn.]

I was thinking about taking a nap anyway.

"But it's the middle of the day? HOw can you be so tired already?" She seems utterly disappointed by the girl's lack of daily endurance.

I lost track of time last night when I was retooling my deck.

[aero_dienamic]

"Your deck? Do you mean your cards? That is not a healthy pass time if you're losing sleep over it."

Though she's been guilty of other things keeping her up late...

That's why I take naps during the day.

[aero_dienamic]

"That's still not healthy dear. You should sleep properly. Not naps, sleep." she says, scolding the smaller girl.

"Even if that sleep might be in the middle of the day... you should be rested, not napping." Who is she, your mom?

Maybe I should sleep during the day and stay awake at night instead.

...Oh, but if I do that, I'll miss all the tournaments.

"Well then, now you know what to do. If you're not rested you might even fall asleep during one of your precious tournaments~"

I never fall asleep in the middle of a game. Gaming is my life.

Val folds her arms, "That's not a healthy life you know. That's it, pack up your cards. We're doing something else today." she huffs. Being the huge flirt and social butterfly she is, she is not standing for a friend/housemate to be some sort of card-addicted recluse...

...even if that's a social activity. Hush, she's not full-up on human habits and mannerisms.

Huh? Okay...

[It's not like Chiaki is particularly hard to drag along for things, so she complies without argument so much as vague confusion. She doesn't really understand why playing games a lot is unhealthy. And Triple Triad regularly takes her outside the house and gets her socializing with lots of other people. But she doesn't mind hanging out with Val either, so this is fine.]

However, Val storms off with her without a proper plan, and after a while her charge slows down while she ponders and looks about.

"Hmm... You know... it wouldn't hurt to put some of this money back in the community. Did you say once you'd buy me an outfit?" she grins, bending down closer to Chiaki's level.
