To All Heroes

To Everybody:

Whether we've met or not, I'd appreciate a reply from as many people as are willing, especially if you didn't just come from a version of Earth.

So, let's talk holidays. Christmas, I was willing to let pass as a coincidence. Any civilized planet out there with a winter season ends up with some version of a winter solstice. It doesn't matter the time or the planet or the alien race, they've got some kind of tradition that we would recognize. Celebration for being 'almost out of the dark,' as a friend of mine would put it.

But Valentine's Day? Definitely a product of Earth, of a specific time period of Earth, to be sure. At least, in my experience. And that's where you guys come in. Anybody else, not from Earth, have a custom or a legend like this? Something specifically surrounding a holiday, something that's celebrated. Also, is anybody else reading up on Aqures Ixen legends enough to know if we're going all going to be dealing with rabbits and eggs in two months? If so, I'm calling shenanigans now.

Jack,

Sadly I do not think that you will like the answer I have to that. Shy of using dark and great powers, the kind that view the Earth as a mere plaything, the only way I know of is to have a sponsor. Even now that I have left mine I am limited to the one Earth that I walk. I know that the Creeping Chaos left such a spell out there, one to recreate the world all be it in a slightly different way, which has been exploited in the past but I do not believe that wager is the one this world revolves around.

In my experience, things like this where those are taken then given power, there are usually higher powers wagering. Be it law and chaos, evolution and destruction, a great old one and the collective of human consciousness given form I can not say, I am no longer associated with the higher powers. I merely am a piece to be moved like everyone else here. Still, I would wager travel between any world is possible as long as they are connected to the Sea of the Soul.

While it is possible, I only know of traveling through the Velvet Room and I left my key behind when I went out on my own. Perhaps should the door appear here one could deal with my old master for passage elsewhere, but generally speaking only those who have signed a contract for power are admitted inside.

Still, perhaps if my brother or sister came looking for me again they would have their keys, yet I am uncertain if that will happen. My last conversation with my sister was not one that went well for her ideas and she can be quite stubborn.

The thing is, the contract is not linked to the room, it merely is enforced by Igor. If I see a key I will be concerned, however, I am uncertain that petitioning for aid from those whom I have abandoned is the answer.

I love my sister and brother dearly, just simply speaking. They have their destiny and I have chosen another. While it is not out of a want to be a hero, but simply because standing aside and letting others forge my destiny for me did not seem to be the correct path.

Still, should you want to find the room, the master will come in a dream and you will be given a key. Once the key is firmly in your grasp look for a blue door where a door should not be. It will be near where fate has determined reality is weakest.

In all honesty, only a guest and those who are currently working the room can see it with impunity. I do not know any ACTUAL guests here, and I no longer am working there.

Still, most often the door was in a place where the public gathered, usually to purchase goods. When I was an attendant we had a door hidden in the back hallway of a place called the mall.

Powers have little to do with it. There were powers greater than I who could not sense it, and humans that were guests could sense it. My status as an avatar of power has little to do with it. I worked there and as such I had unlimited access and a reason to be there.
