Letter and a Package?!
[This letter is sent along with a small package on Tuesday evening. What's inside? A Santa hat and a couple of bells, a sprig of pine, and a bundle of mistletoe.]
Season's Greetings!
I am writing to you from the Santa Village. Yuki and I boarded an ocean ship this morning so we could get a look at the village for ourselves. Work has only just begun, so I regret that there isn't much here at the moment, but there is certainly a great deal of promise. I'm certain your Moogle companions have already told you of what they hope the place becomes and how we can help. I would encourage you to do so. Even if there is much work to be completed, the village has an aura of peace and good will. I would like to ask those in charge if we might use it, and expand upon it, as a place of refuge should we be able to evacuate those who are currently threatened by the expansion of the Calamity. I do not know if my suggestion will be taken under consideration, but this is my hope.
In the meantime, I believe I will transfer my belongings here for the month and stay at the inn, possibly a house if I am able as I would like access to a kitchen. As I will be assisting with appearances as 'Mrs. Clause,' I believe the role would be greatly strengthened if I were able to bake seasonal cookies and treats. If you have any recipes, please send them to me. I would be exceptionally grateful, and the sooner I can practice, the quicker I can produce satisfactory results.
Please consider doing what you are able for this cause as well. Knowing what's coming, I believe that spreading joy and peace to the denizens of this world will help to strengthen and unite them. I hope to see you here soon, even if only for a couple of days. Whatever you can contribute would be greatly welcomed.
Sincerely,
~Rukia Kuchiki (Temporary Mrs. Clause)

I am certain your skills would be a tremendous asset. There are many trees and rooftops in need of adornment, so if you still possess the dragoon job, I think you would be well suited for the task.
For the moment, my baking skills need some work. Although the first batch of gingerbread men smells good and tastes fine, the shape leaves much to be desired, and they're a bit too crisp. Nonetheless, you are welcome to taste anything I make. I would welcome your critique.
Have you been adjusting well to life in Aqures Ixen? Is there anything I may do to assist you further? Please notify me should you require my service.

Yeah, I still have it so I can help. I'll really excited about Christmas.
Okay, tell me when you're gonna cookies next and I'll be there. Oooh, I'll try to find some tea! You can't have cookies with tea!
Having a body is still weird, but I'mused to it. There are lots of really fun things to do here and lots of nice people. I still miss Ken-chan, but I gonna have fun until he shows up. Okay, I'll tell you if I need help!
Oh yeah, which place has lots of crayons and pencils?

I should be making them just about every day once I return from Esdham. I would estimate that, from the 8th through the 25th, you would easily find a constant fresh supply. I believe there will be others making cookies as well, probably with more skill than I possess. Have you met a woman named Zelda? Hers are reported to be exceptional. I'm pleased to hear that you're doing well, and I hope your captain arrives soon. I know you two are close.
I've drawn you a map to a store I visited to pick up pens and markers. I am unsure if they have crayons as well, but surely they must. I hope this helps you.

[It's a poorly drawn map, but Yachiru should get the general idea if her terrible sense of direction doesn't kick in. At the bottom of the letter, Rukia drew a bear with spiky hair and an eyepatch. Who could that be?]

Okay! I'll remember that. Wow, you're gonna be baking a lot. Yeah, I met Zellie! She was nice and took me to the monster arena with her Loftwing. It was fun to fly so high!
Thanks, Ruki! I can find the store now. I need some stuff from there. I'm gonna make a stand so people can write letters to Santa. There is gonna be a really big sign, too!
[ The map makes sense to her. Yachiru will find the store easily enough. Her terrible sense of direction will kick in after the supplies are secured. The bear is very familiar to her and she will keep the map in a very safe place]

That's a wonderful idea. I have no doubt that the children will greatly enjoy the opportunity. Perhaps I might assist and carry some of the letters back to the Village the next time I visit town. If we are able, we may answer some of them. One of my friends will likely take up the role of Santa Clause, so I will make sure replies are forthcoming.
Good luck to you. I hope you are warm and happy this holiday season.
