To: All the Heroes of Light || All Good Things...
[ This letter comes in a purple envelope, sealed with the crest of the royal family of Aqures Ixen. It is delivered by a special Moogle working for Biggs; it didn't go through the usual Mognet procedures. Biggs may not reply to all answers. ]
RE: Imperial Fleet
I've told a few of you that the Empire was preparing a fleet. We expected them to take their people somewhere safe, but that's not what they're doing. According to our Intel, they're gathering their armies to attack Aqures Ixen. Esdham has confirmed our information. At the current rate, they should attack sometimes during July.
We're going to start evacuating the civilians to Trano and Flence once the World Cup over. I would tell you to leave as well, but Jessie says you should stay. Dunno what's on her mind, but odds are you're half the reason the Empire wants to attack us. Keep quiet about this, we don't want panic to take over the streets.
Those in the Law Enforcement, contact me if you'd like to help. Those who want to help but are neither in this nor the army, I think Jessie will contact you at some point.

Captain Biggs,
How is the Empire planning to attack Aqures Ixen directly? If they come by air or sea, they will be flanked by the Esdham army. That seems like a risky move on their part.

When I went to Esdham under your orders at the beginning of the month they said there was nothing to report.
When did this change?

Cannons and cannon-balls: How many do we have and how many am I allowed to take for my ship? I don't have much in Gil, but I'm pretty sure we can work something out.

It goes without saying I'm in to help. But if we're the reason the Empire's attacking, why should we stay and let Aqures Ixen take the hit on this? Are you sure Jessie's right about this?

I am more than willing to help in any way that I am able. I am not one to just run from a fight if I can do something about it. Do you know how many people will be involved on our end or is that unsure yet?

Shouldn't we go out and meet them or something? If we're what they're after, it might keep them away from the city.
And why wait until the Cup is over? Shouldn't we start moving people as soon as we can?

It begs the question; why now?
Do you suppose this is a true invasion attempt to secure territory for their people away from the advancing Calamity or could there be another reason?

If you need help planning for the defenses, I'll do my utmost.

Thank you for informing us. I'll await further contact from Jessie, but, I do have a question.
Do you know if there's any way to have those in the hospital relocated, or the facility itself fortified? None of those people can evacuate on their own.

Thank you for informing us and I'm sure as always you are swamped with letters. Do we know why they are doing this? Or if any means of evacuation has happened? Perhaps they think that we are the cause for this?
I'm not sure but I am happy to hear that everyone will be safely evacuated from the city. I'm sure many of the heroes will stay but I would like to give the younger ones an option to flee as well.
No one should be force to fight and there are many ways people can help.

You have my deepest regrets for this turn in relations. If you will have it, I will lend you what support I may, which is not nothing. In addition to this, although I cannot speak for my friend, it should be safe to say she would be an eager sword. Only provide direction, and we will see what we may do to fulfill the request.
Regards,
Temma

Why would they do that? The Calamity or whatever is going to cover their city, and they're worried about attacking us? It's not like some people wouldn't take in their people.
How do you even think we can get all the people in our city out of town? There's thousands of people here.

Sobering intelligence, indeed. The Heroes' Guild stands by to assist in any way deemed necessary. Know that we will make our stand with you.
Best,

While we are no longer in our universe, the only way there existed back in my world to hold back incoming invasions was taking the offensive the moment they were holding back and preparing.
An invasion to Aqures Ixen may be inevitable, but my suggestion is to send a small strikeforce to sabotage part of their equipment.
I suggest we take the fight to them before us. That we do a first strike.
