Moogle of Love~

[Kopula is sending this out to everyone except for Link and Zelda. He doesn't much care for the man that his hero is stuck living with.]

I'm looking for a companion for my hero. I'm sure most of you know her, she's sweet and kind and everything wonderful! [He might have a small crush on Zelda.] She deserves someone just as amazing as she is!! She deserves a true hero! Someone who can take care of her because she always works so hard on her own. I know that the heroes aren't always concerned about love but I would really like your help.

I might not be explaining this well...

[His hand writing gets a little messy like he's writing the rest really fast.]

I'm looking for a companion for Zelda. I know she isn't in love here and she feels the need to protect her friend from home and look after him but she deserves to be happy too!!! I'm hoping to set her up on a nice date so she can find someone. If you can help.

Ah I see. A loftwing? A flying mount so to speak or animal companion?

[He nodded, and looked over at the grove.] I see! We should reach there shortly then.

[Zelda smiles.]

She's both. The loftwings are a gift from the goddess Hylia. They impress upon us when we are young and they stay with us our whole lives. They is a very strong bond.

[Loftwings aren't replaceable like mounts.]

But because of that my chocobo misses me. I feel awful about it.

[Her pace slows as she comes to the trees edge. It doesn't look like there is a clearing in the forest but Zelda looks sure of herself as she steps under the shade of the trees.]

Back home, I have a number of mounts which I have trained since I was a new adventurer. What I do is bring them into a field and have a "playdate" so to speak. They get along just fine and bond in between one another.

[He followed Zelda behind her, brushing branches aside. This was going fairly deep yes.]

[Zelda wishes she could do that but a Loftwings place is in the sky and a chocobo's is on the ground.

She pauses after a yard or so into the forest before gesturing to Meteor.]

What do you think?

[She pushes a branch aside revealing a small open field with a small stream trickling along one side.]

It's really gorgeous. This is definitely a place that I would be fond of going to.

[Looking around for his moogle, Meteor thought for a moment before nodding.] We may as well get set up here then.

[Zelda nods with a smile and begins by placing down the cumbersome basket. She pulls a large light pink cloth from its side and lays it out for them to sit on. Once she’s settled she begins pulling out different types of food that she’s made.

There are cute grilled chicken and cucumber sandwiches, fresh strawberries, and some cold tea for them to sip.]

I hope you like it.

It all looks incredibly delicious. Did you make and gather most of these? [Cooking wasn't his forte but he was at least able to make things that wouldn't be bad for him.

Sitting down, he made certain to remove his heavy boots before looking over it all. Gosh Zelda was pretty too. How had he missed this?

Wait...

wait...]

On the by, did you happen to see our moogles on the way here...?

[Zelda doesn't know the nature of his thoughts and as if on cue her lisp curled into a wider smile. Sun peeks into their hiding place making Zelda's hair shine like golden rays of light.]

Yes. Well, I made it. I bought the strawberries but they are really good.

[She loves strawberries.]

[Oh twelve, she is way too pretty! Um, think fast, self.]

Can I have some? If you said it's really good, then I'm inclined to try some.

[Zelda nods her head and then begins to make him a plate. She fills it with a decent portion of strawberries before handing it over to Meteor.]

Is this enough?

[Once the plate is out of her hand she picks up a strawberry, pinching it between two fingers before taking a bite of the juicy fruit.]

That's plenty, thank you.

[Watching her eat for a moment and wondering how she managed to look so radiant doing so, Meteor took a bite and made a sound.] Delicious! This is truly the best.

[Zelda giggles before finishing her strawberry in a single bite.]

Well, I can tell you where I bought them.

[She really likes fruit.]

That would be helpful. They really are the best though. I haven't had anything this sweet and juicy in ages. Fresh fruit is a rarer commodity since the Cataclysm.

[He ate another.] Though skilled botanists have been cultivating a lot of food in Gridania lately.

[Zelda's smile stays in place though she can't help but feel a little bad about that.]

Skyloft has a lot of fruits and vegetables. It's how we get through most winters. I wish I could have a garden here but I rarely have the time.

There's no botany jobs? Back home there are, and it makes good money.

[Maybe he should get into finding that job. It would help stimulate the economy.] It would prove useful to have the three major Disciplines of the Land available. Mining, Botany and Fishing.

[Zelda shakes her head.]

Nope, we don't have those three though I'm sure people do that as a living.

[She doesn't think you need a job to learn how to fish.]

Are there jobs for everything in your world?

Training and specialties go hand in hand in my world. Though the actual Jobs are rarer. There's very few Black Mages, and White Mages because of the rarity of Job Crystals. The same goes with Summoners and Scholars, as more crystals are being unearthed.

The crafters and gatherers are known as Disciplines of the Hand and Land, and our disciplines of fighting are separated into War and Magic.

[Zelda listens intently but it isn't something she's familiar with.]

I admit, it sounds complicated. My world doesn't have things like crystals or jobs. Everyone helps each other out and so we all know how to do many things. There is a knight academy but everyone studies the same style of fighting.

Your world sounds nice though. Mine is... very busy to be honest. There's so much going on, and it can be dangerous going out your door. Some of the big cities aren't as safe as they could be either.

[He took a bite of his fruit and added,] But it is beautiful. There's a wild beauty to the world, and yet it is governed by mystical forces everywhere.

[Zelda laughs softly.]

Well in that our worlds are similar. [She leans forward slightly, her expression wistful.] Skyloft used to be peaceful.

Though the world below is more like what you described. I'd love to see your world. It sounds wonderful.

[Even if it's dangerous.]

I'd like to show it to you, but there's a lot familiar here as well. The crystals, the chocobos... one would think my world would be similar to this one. Although the races of man as we call them, are wide and varied.

[Twelve she's cute, how did I not notice this?]

[Zelda notices the way he's staring at her and her cheeks quickly flush before she's able to push the feeling away.]

Really? What sort of races? I'm only familiar with my own and those I've found here.

[There aren't many with pointed ears in Crystallis.]

[Abashed, he blushed deeply before he nodded.] There are the hyur like myself. Humans they call us here. Then there's the smaller folk, the Lalafell. Tarutaru are the name.

There are the Elezen, elven folk of the wood and cave. The Miqo'te, hunters of the night and sun which sport feline features like lions and such. And then there are the Roegadyn, strong powerful folk of the sea or the mountains who excel as craftsman and proud warriors.

The last are the Auri, the Au Ra. Folk skilled in craft and war who came across the sea from the land of Othard. They sport horns and scales like dragons, but are more along the lines of the demon folk. They are newer to the area, but still are considered the race of man.

There are also several "Beast Tribes", the tribes who do not consider themselves of Man's Twelve Gods.

[Zelda listens closely, nodding with each new race that he covers. Some of them she knows from Crystallis while others leave her wondering what they might look like.]

I’m Hylian. Um… [Thin fingers carefully sweep loose strains of blood away to show him her ear.] We were created in the image of the goddess Hylia.

She’s the goddess of the sky.

Goddess of the sky? That's quite interesting. Eorzea has many gods, but they haven't walked our world in ages.
