Hello,

I was curious if someone could bring me up to speed, what is this Christmas holiday exactly? Mogtague tells me that it's about presents (namely presents for him), but after the last time I trusted him with something, I have my doubts.

The decorations are beautiful, but I'm not entirely sure what the point is. Apparently there is someone named Santa Claus, who delivers presents? I still don't think it's possible for someone to do all of that in one night, but I've seen stranger things. Miracles can happen, after all.

From what I understand, gifts are exchanged during this time of year. I can make a few guesses about what you might like, but it would probably be easier if you told me.

My budget is a bit tight right now, but I will try to do my best to get you both suitable gifts.

I had wondered if Santa Claus might have been something like that. It seemed a bit too fantastical to be true. Thank you for clearing that up.

What kind of religious holiday? Did it still involve gifts, or was that a later edition?

Birth of a religious savior. People brought him gifts in the story, so I'm guessing that's where the whole idea came from.

Santa Claus came a whole lot later. Had something to do with a saint before turning into its own story.

Now that I'm writing it down, I realize I don't know as much about it as I thought I did. It's such a normal thing where I'm from that I never thought about it much.
