[Yuffie is very keen on her work. Her eyes are quickly flicking back and forth scanning through pages and pages of information. Her fingers move over the screen quickly as she reaches Yuri's folder.

She's known him for awhile while knowing nothing about him. That had been annoying and so she's going to learn more now.]

[ At first Yuffie would probably get the basic information on Yuri, where he was born, and who his family was, which was obvious. He was an orphan who was raised by the people of Zaphias. He lived in the lower quarters and his best friend was Flynn.

Yuri had a strange skewed view of the world and that came into play after the death of Flynn's dad. There were other things stating he was in the imperial army for a short time, and what happened during those times as an imperial soldier in which would lead to what Yuffie had seen, in the weird memory fluke with Niren and others.

Yuri had yet to find Yuffie, so she was able to go through as much as she wanted for the time being. ]

[Yuffie skims through, her eyes flicking quickly over the text while a single digit moved down the page. Her eyes were wide and bright as she searched.]

That dream thing now makes sense and I can't believe I jumped down that hole.

[Conclusion: she would be dead if she had been there. Which isn't really a comfortable feeling. She shifts her weight from one foot to the next, sighs and them moves on. Yuri's life sucks.]

[ While Yuffie was mumbling to herself, a certain dark haired anti-hero was hovering over her. When she did make that comment, it seemed like it was time for him to grab the file from her hand in a heart beat and there's a bit of a smirk on his face for her nosiness. ]

Yo Princess.

[ He replied, somehow catching her in the act. Well, that explained what Mooshoo meant. ]

That's highly classified you know?

[ Oh and Yuri wouldn't bring up what he found on her yet either since he took a peek himself. ]

[Yuffie's expression shifts to surprise as the information is pulled away from her. She looks up at Yuri with a pout.]

Boring and not interesting at all! Like I want to read it anyway!

[Of course she's interested, there are some juicy bits in there but she doesn't want him to know that. Instead the princess folds her arms over her chest and pouts.]

[ Well she might have sneaked a peek at his killing record too if she got that far. Yuri wasn't a good guy and he would rather people not know his dark secrets even if he didn't care about them too much. ]

You're a terrible liar. Why were you going through in the first place, Yuf?

[ Ah, yet she has a new nickname. Ah, Yuffie how you lie to Yuri about these things. ]

[She doesn't care to much about the killing people part. She's been a little desensitizes considering the number of people she's fought and killed. It was weird to think considering this is Yuri she's reading about.

She still didn't want to admit that it is an interesting read.]

I am a great liar! [Which is only half true.]

And I don't know. [Yuffie shrugs.] I just wanted to know and anytime I ask you your so boring about it.

[She doesn't know how she feels about the new nickname yet.]

Right, because I can't see right through you.

[ He shrugged as he tucked the file under his arm. Of course, he didn't expect her to be the judging type anyway. Yuri was fine with what her opinions are regardless. It was interesting because Yuri never talked about these things for good reasons! She just learned a lot about his past that he would rather not have her know but it's not like it mattered. ]

There's no need to dig up people's pasts, you know? They're the past for a reason.

[ Though with that being said, he did add a comment on it. Whether she answered or not was her choice. ]

So... Yuri.

[ He raised a brow. No he's not going to deny he poked at her file. ]

[She's never understood the 'it's the past for a reason'. The reason seems rather obvious and it is because it's already happened.

Yuffie is about to roll her eyes when he mentions the familiar name. She feels her shoulders tense while a nervous smile spreads across her lips.]

You mean Yuri, Yuri or are you beginning to talk in third person now?

[She isn't going to deny anything but then she wonders how he knows about that. A few seconds tick by before it clicks.]

YOU READ MY FILE!

[ Yuri waited for her to catch his drift as he said those words. Of course, he stopped after that since he wasn't the type to get too into someone's personal life. That particular part of the file caught his attention for probably not good reasons but. ]

Not quite, Princess.

[ He replied with a half strained grin. Apparently, it took her another moment before she finally realized it. ]

Think of it as a fair trade for this. I didn't read everything, just so you're aware.

[She isn't sure how to react to that. She feels really dumb for not catching on sooner and then there is the added fact that he knows about that. It had taken her a long time to get over her friend's death.]

Oh...

[She shrugs, trying her best to look impassive.]

Wel.. what do you want to know then?

[Yuffie doesn't know which part he read too.]

[ It was alright. She was probably too busy with other thoughts than his invasion of her privacy. At least, he was modest enough to not read every little bitty gritty detail. Of course, he wouldn't go too far. He had some respect for her personal stuff, maybe. ]

Maybe, a little about the guy? Sounds like you guys were close, and hey I got this weird feeling that there's a reason why you and I get along the way we do. Though, correct me if I'm wrong.

[ He replied musing the obvious questions first. ]

[Yuffie isn't sure if she really cares, she's still deciding. She shrugs a little feeling slightly awkward and put on the spot. For once she looks more like the eighteen year old she is instead of the 10 year old she acts like.]

I don't know why we get along. You're not really like him... well, maybe a little. Yuri was one of my friends since childhood.

We grew up together. [Of course, then she ran off.] I don't know what you read but people don't usually leave Wutai. I did and dad was really pissed. Right, so when I came back I ran into Yuri again but it was in a really shitty situation and I don't know if you want the details but I got blamed and it turns out it was his fault because he snuck out of Wutai and went to Midgar but I got blamed because I was the only one everyone who knew who went there and I was locked in a room and it really sucked and I'm still pissed at my dad about it. [She finally takes a break before continuing her rant. It's a good thing that she remembered to breath with how fast she's talking. About half way through her rant she starts pacing as if that helps her explanation.] You know, he might be in charge but he doesn't have to be a jerk. Anyway Yuri came to get me out and it turned out that the stigma was a curse from the planet but she didn't have a cure and everyone was getting sick and dying and then when we went to figure it out, I told Yuri to run but he..

He was stupid.

[And he died.]

[ Yuri of course, was listening as seriously as he could possibly listen to her. The way he spoke when she finished her long story, was a lot more serious than she had heard him before. ]

Sounds like a mess to be honest. I read enough about it, but I didn't know the guy was that stupid. You got a pretty tough lifestyle if your dad's trying to lock you up for something you didn't do. Heck, I'd probably leave if anyone tried that.

[ Ah well she gets head ruffles instead. ]

Well I could imagine what happened to the guy, since you said he was stupid, but why don't you tell me how it ended?

[ And he there's a bit more kindness in his voice, though he wasn't going to pity or sympathize with her because it didn't seem like something she needed. He was empathetic enough to understand since he knew what it was like to lose those close to you. Lambert and Niren were key figures. ]

[Yuffie glares as he ruffles her hair, seriously, it's so hard to keep untangled now that its so long.

When taken apart Yuffie's life is sort of messed up but she's a princess so there are things that she must do. One is put up with her father.]

You know, I don't really blame my dad. It really sucked though.

[She had been so exhausted then, finally helping out and there was once again nothing to show for it. She sighs, her head falling to the side. At least she's started talking slower.]

Yuri.. he... [She hasn't really talked about him to anyone before.] Well, he always told me to stop being selfish and stop thinking of myself. I was so angry after he helped me escape my dad. I guess, I thought he was right so we went looking for the cause or cure or whatever.

[She waves a dismissive hand.]

When we first saved Gaia the life stream ripped through the planet. Wutai was hit pretty hard. We had to rebuild everything, anyway it left holes in the planet. So we went searching in one. Yuri said we should stop, I wanted to keep going.

[Yuffie sighs again, this is so annoying to talk about.] This gewy stuff came up from the planet's core, it was black and groose and it was like the planet was sick. It came after us so we ran. It... it caught Yuri. The poison swallowed him and he died. I remember... Yuri pushed me. I was sort pissed so I turned to yell at him and he was reaching out to me. All surrounded in that stuff.

[She stops talking and is silent for a moment. This is awkward, feelings are awkward.] Why do you want to know anyway?

[ What can he say? Yuri liked doing that to ease the tension or any form of discomfort someone had. It worked alright? He's also the type to be kind of doting when he needed to be. He was just caring and she would just have to accept it. Hell, if she really feel bad about it, maybe he'll comb her hair for her, sheesh. ]

Parents do what they can to protect their kids. You're lucky to have one, even if he's a bit of a jerk. At least, it sounded like it got better?

[ He replied with a raised brow towards her. ] A big ol' journey huh?

[ there wasn't a lot of sarcasm in his tone, but it was somewhat there when he said that. It seemed about right with most people. He listened to the rest of her explanation about her adventure and what happened after that. Her world seemed pretty messed up. Not that his was any better, but it made this world seem a bit better in some weird sense. ]

Sounds like he cared a lot about you to save you the way he acted. No particular reason really. Kind of wondered what the guy was like having the same name and all.

[Yuffie will most definitely take all and any hair brush sessions because it's the one thing about longer hair that she just doesn't like.]

A little. Dad has to be hard on me, or that's what I've been told.

[Being a princess means she's supposed to do a lot of things that she doesn't want to and it's her fathers task to make sure that she does them. As for the big journey? well, it had sucked but it's really where Yuffie met her first friends so she didn't mind so much.

Yuffie laughs softly, thinking about her Yuri.] Not to be really awkward but I think Dad wanted me and Yuri to get married. You guys aren't really a like. Though he was a little aloof, he's also impulsive and really cares about his mother though he sucks at showing it.

A lot of people were sick and he secretly went to Midgar to try and help. No one knew, though that's sorta what started the mess.

[Yuffie had been the only healer and the white materia left her drained most knights. Thinking back now, they all sort of blended together. Day after day of helping, she doesn't remember getting any thank you's either and Yuri called her selfish.]

[ Consider it compensation for being a bit of a sarcastic ass right now. Though, he genuinely means what he was saying to her. Yuri understood the meaning of loss in more ways than one. Yuffie probably saw those mostly. He didn’t really care that she knew, since he never cared about being judged by others anyway. He was used to being treated like a criminal on a daily basis, and never really took credit for what he did either. He was easy to brush things off to be honest. ]

So, you’re actually a princess in all words huh?

:[ He replied giving her a brief smile. ] Sounds about right. Even if he’s rough on ya, he’s family.

[ Yuri didn’t have that luxury and the few that he looked up to were already dead. So, despite what it sounded like, Yuffie still had her dad. ] Arranged marriages too huh? You’re not going to be coming on me now are ya?

[ Joke, joke, don’t hit him, only hit him because he’s trying to lighten the mood by making stupid jokes, because it probably brought back memories when they were meeting Mooshoo’s past self. ]

Not sure about that one, Princess.

[ Yuri was impulsive, but not as much as when he was in the imperial army, however, he was the type to do whatever he wanted too. He didn’t have a mom or dad to care about so that was ruled out completely. ] He sounds like a piece of work there. Did you both manage to cure that illness somehow? [ With a raised brow at that comment, though he didn’t need to know too many details if she wasn’t going to tell. He’s not the prying type. ]

[Yuffie turns to face him, her lips forming a slight pout though it doesn't last long. She kicks his shin lightly for that coming on to him comment and then proceeds as if he's said nothing at all. Don't think she's fully forgiven Mooshoo for that comment, even now he's suffering the brunt of her annoyance.]

I don't know. I was brought here right after Yuri died. I don't know what the illness is except that at one point Cloud will have it. [Though she knows that because of something that's happened in Crystallis.]

I need to read the future part of my file to figure that out.

[She assumes they do, when her friends get together there is nothing that they can't do.]

ONE MORE THING! [She holds up a finger to stop him from talking.] I am a princess and I'm the most beautiful and wonderful princess ever.

[Just so he knows that.]

[ Yuri didn't really make any move to do anything until she kicked him and he gave her a look for it, even if the kick didn't even hurt that much. It's not the first time he got kicked either. ]

Easy with the violence, Princess. You keep doing that and no one would want to date you.

[ He laughed a bit and waited for her to continue with her words. ]

You don't know what it is but it will be given to someone you know? That sure sounds pretty shady.

[ He replied pondering a moment. ]

Maybe you should. That might help prevent it if you learn what caused it.

[ He took a step back when she raised her voice again. ]

Right, the most beautiful and wonderful princess, whose aggressive and violent underneath that sweet look,

[ Yeah you hear that sarcasm? ]

You are sure are a special kind of princess.

[Yuffie pouts softly, her expression one of displeasure.]

Someone will want to date me. [That's a little bit of a sore subject right now. She's depressingly single and it looks like she'll have an arrange marriage in the future which she isn't looking forward too.]

I'm a mighty Ninja Princess.

[She'll leave it at that.]

As for the sickness... I thought to ask Cloud but... I don't want too.

[ He's trying to make things better for them since awkwardness was not one of his favorite things to be dealing with. ]

Some poor bastard that would let you kick him around.

[ Sorry Yuffie, he's totally joking in a jerk ish way since Yuri was that type of person. He'll just keep going at it the way he thinks is best. She's not a bad girl, honest, but he can't really understand the thought of dating someone or getting into a romantic relationship with them. He doesn't know how that works really. ]

Seems to be the truth on that part.

[ He laughed a bit. ]

Yeah? Well, ask this "Cloud" guy once you feel up to it. If not, you could probably figure it out yourself no?

[Yuffie sticks out her tongue at him, not caring that it’s childish and does nothing for her side of the argument. The ninja princess likes the idea that she could be loved, whether or not she’s planning to date in Crystallis is something she’s been thinking a lot about but she really didn’t care to share that with Yuri.

With her stance set she crosses her arms over her chest.]

He won’t know. Cloud is from a different time than me which is waaaaay before the sickness.

[She glances over at the computer screen before quickly walking over and double checking that her fold is closed. She knows that someone with a hacking skill can probably get into it but if they work that hard they deserve to read something.]

Anyway, that’s all sealed and settled.

[She’s just as tired about talking about all these serious things. It’s not very much fun.]

[ Yuri gave with Yuffie a long time ago. He just shrugged with a brief laugh at her action. Yuri wouldn't pry at her personal preferences. That was all her if she wanted to date people. HE was just being a bit of a jerk on his side.

At least she looked a bit better. ]

Well that makes things counterproductive.

[ Yuri shrugged. ]

Sounds like a plan. How about we bust this joint and get some fresh air?

[ Because this place was stuffy and filled with stuff he didn't want to think about. ]
