Hello, my name is Yugi Mutou and I thought I might as well ask, but I was wondering if anyone was willing to come with me to go monster hunting?

I ask because of my Job as a Beastmaster requires me to have some sort of companion and well... I don't currently have one. So I thought I would go out there and try and capture a monster and fight alongside it. But I need help in order to even do that.

I would like to hear from those who want to help and I would be very grateful for it.

If you still need a hand I was looking for an excuse to take a few days off from the Chocobo Farm. It's a great place but the owner has been working me to the bone this month.

I think he does it because I'm one of the Heroes and expects me to rise to the challenge. He doesn't hate us though, and I'm pretty sure Zelda doesn't get the same workload I do.

And of course I can't just tell him it's too much and he probably knows that too.

Though when it really is time to rise up to the challenge, if you have been over worked, how could one be expected to do that?

Back home I nearly gave up hope, thinking that I was never going to reach my dream. My friend Zack encouraged me to take that desire to be great and fuel it.

You have to fight for your dreams, and protect your honor at the same time. Anything you do is worth doing as long as you do it with everything you have.

That actually make perfect sense really when you put it like that. Dreams aren't easy to reach, one works hard to gain what they desire. I will just have to try and do the same while I am here.

My friends and I often go out to do this, but if you're looking for someone to look out for you to get your own, I certainly don't mind! And I can help steer you away from the dangerous stuff. Stuff outside the city isn't too scary but once in a while...

Maybe I'll show you the Chocobo Eater some time later, and you'll see what I mean!

I think I should say it would be more than looking out for me, I say this mostly because all I have in terms of Jobs is Beastmaster and Scholar and well, the second one isn't really one can fight with. I'd be pretty much useless in a fight. It's the reason I need help to capture one to.

Though what is a Chocobo Eater? It doesn't sound all too friendly.

That... sounds like a bad draw, unless that's what you wanted. Then again, I'd be horrified if I couldn't handle a fight on my own! I suppose that's neither here nor there!

That being said, I can certainly help you get started. The first one you catch may not be the one you want, but it's a place to start. Except Geezards. Just no!

The Chocobo Eater, is, I think, just that, a huge lizard-like monster that ate Chocobos. Those are the big yellow birds people ride around on! My friends and I caught it so, it's not a problem anymore. I hope.

I don't mind it since I'm not one for violence in the first place. But I do like the idea of having an animal companion.

That would be fine, I mean it doesn't matter so long as they help. Though what's a Geezard?

Oh! That sounds like it was a good thing that you took care of it. Those poor Chocobo's.

A Geezard is like, the most pathetic of monsters out there. Really, I'm sure you could give one a really good kick and it would be done with. Bombs are a bad idea too since they just explode.

I keep thinking that a Geezard sound like soem kind of lizard. Am I wrong in thinking this? Also I will stay clear of bombs them... They weren't good back home, I doubt they are here.

Why kind of sad? You call them pathetic, but you don't explain why. Do you mean they are weak or something?

They are weak, very weak. But, I've never run into more than a group of four, and I'm a professional fighter.

It has me wondering if they serve more of an ecological purpose since they're so weak. Like, flies. [[Her imagination goes off on it's own for a minute.]]

Still they're not very strong at all. They're not hard to fight off so like I've said, they're not going to make a very good 'pet', at least definitely not against a human opponent.

Just because something or someone is weak doesn't mean they don't have potential later on, especially with a job like Beastmaster to help them.

Hey, why not? I'm thinking of going out sometime to do some exploring.

You'll need some heavy-hitting with you, though. I'm a blacksmith and thief.

Heavy hitting? You mean jobs like warrior or something like that, right?

Though you do have some interesting jobs if I do say do.

Of course! We need someone whose main focus is to beat the enemy silly. I can do it too, but it takes a bit more effort and I need to use my Crystal for that.

Well, I think there have been people with Jobs like that who have offered at least, so that is something.

Oh, so you can use our crystal?

What I meant was the crystal given to each of us. The ones that enable us to use our Jobs. There's a bunch of different types for different purposes.

Any day you have in mind? I do kind of have a job I need to put time aside for.

I'm a princess and Wutai is the greatest treasure in all of Gaia. Wutai is where I'm from. So Treasure Princess! Plus I'm really good at finding and taking treasures.

Anyway, having a place and people you want to protect makes them a treasure. It's not to easy to explain if you haven't felt that feeling before.

Your not the normal type of princess I would think of no, but note I said normal type. I am not being mean, I'm just comparing a type of princess I would know of and you. There are differences.

I assume what you mean is they are something you want to protect no matter what? Like one would a precious treasure. I can understand that at least and that's sweet of you. Shows me a different side to yourself than what you've shown me before.

I can't tell if you are being nice or mean.

Also I stopped being a thief because I got in trouble.. though sometimes I steal Sparky's things and then hide them so he has trouble finding them. It's pretty funny.

I'm being nice when you think about it, not being a typical princess makes you unique, which is a good thing. Same with the treasure thing. I'm not a mean person.

It's nice to meet you. My name is Yuna though there are two of us in the city so I try to go by Yunie to make it less complicated.

There is a group of us who go monster hunting every now and again. I believe Allenby tries to head it or get people out to further areas. Do you know what sort of pet you want? It might be good to go to the monster area and see what's out there.

I'd be happy to help and I'm sure your getting messages from the others in our group who would be happy to help as well.

I'll stick with that if it helps make it less complicated. Well... I don't actually know what sort of pet, I just don't have a clue as to what is out there. But I guess I shouldn't really mind what sort.

Sounds like a good plan. I had used my moogle as a pet but he wasn't so thrilled about it. I think it's good that you are looking elsewhere. I'm sure a touch me would be rather cute.

I don't think I would want to use my moogle as a pet. She's a friend and I wouldn't want to put her in danger, or put herself in danger really. A touch me? I have never heard of that before. Though I guess it looks like a frog?

Yes, it is a frog. Why not check it out? They are in the plains nearby. Though be careful, I heard from a friend they will turn you into a frog.
