*PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL*
I sincerely hope that this letter finds you all securely. I took the liberty of strictly instructing my moogle to process each copy of this correspondence separately to achieve the highest level of data protection; I cannot afford for this, nor any replies to be seen by unintended eyes.
Now onto the subject of this irregular mail.
I've been given a task by Jessie, to conduct an observation into those of our number who remain in Crystal Stasis within the Aqures Ixen General Hospital. With the intention to locate and verify any tangible similarities that may link all of them together, with the hope no doubt, for her to conduct even further research into the nature of this affliction which, I am sure, is a pressing concern for everyone.
In order to do so, I need to gather whatever information possible about those Heroes that have fallen into Crystal Stasis and I would very much implore each of you to respond to me with whatever details you may know of any one of them - no matter how trivial it might seem.
As I understand it, privately addressed mail does not carry the same security risk as mail which is intended for a wider audience, but if you are concerned, and your own moogle companion is willing - you may instruct them to bypass the Mognet office with any replies and come directly to my abode at B-04, Aqures Ixen.
Yours sincerely,
Sephiroth
[ooc: This note has been distributed differently to how most mail over the Mognet gets sent. It's hand delivered by one of six, smaller girl-moogles with glasses - or by Spencer personally. Details here - Spencer has persuaded his sisters and a few younger cousins to assist him with the direct distribution of 50+ letters individually processed to each Hero of Light per Zelda's list of Heroes. As such there may be a delay in your character receiving their copy of this letter. Spencer then dutifully returns the original to Sephiroth. Call it micro-managing but he can't afford for this to fall into the wrong hands.
The moogles involved would most likely appreciate a Kupo nut for their hard work!]

[ he might had felt a compulsion but he didn't act on it, having something else that needed attending to first. but maybe that was why he was made a WEAPON. maybe the Planet needed one that acted less on instinct and more on knowing humanity. ]
I think what we need is to look into the histories and follow the clues within. It would seem that this Scholar Job does not give the natives the same abilities as it gives us, and we all have experiences from our own planets that somewhat echo here.
[Action]
You don't think I've already spent countless hours in one library or another in this City, in an attempt to even scratch the surface of that?
[Granted, he's only just about to get the Scholar Job going but it's not like one needs it to be able to read.]
[Action]
I can imagine that you have. However, the books in the common tongue seem almost lacking, do they not? I feel that there is something they are missing, which is why I am glad I can now read other languages housed in the Libraries here.
[Action]
There is little good in being able to read text that may contain all of the answers, if you can do little to effect the World, with the facts that you do manage to find. That is considering you have taken their meaning within the right context in the first place.
[In other words, Scholar was all very well and good for discovering things but it would take a lot more than being able to read to really utilize any information he might uncover.
He didn't mention it, but LOVELESS is construed towards all the same. Genesis' obsession which had no small part in tearing the three of them apart.]
[Action]
Haven't you been paying attention? As Heroes of Light, we are suppose to have some effect on the world, yes? Of course, to the natives we are suppose to protect and guard and save them, but what use would that be if we have no idea what we are looking for? Against just the Empire? Are we so sure that all of them are after the whole world, or is it a few people in power? Remember that those in power have it easy in telling people why it is necessary to attack when it is not always the case.
[ a gentle reminder of Wutai, of a kingdom that was not as much as a threat as they were told, but something they did not know until after the war. ]
We don't know what either side wants from us, though I am inclined to trust our hosts for being hosts. Outside of that, well... that is something I hope the older books may have clues towards.
[Action]
He sets his jaw, steeling his calm against Genesis' words. It's difficult to deal with, given his pride already rubbed raw over his injury, considering he can't very well just get up and remove himself from the situation. He parts lips as if to retort at the obvious nod towards Wutai but then thinks better of that as well and makes a point to become interested in a spot of the wall away from the auburn-haired man.]
I'm glad that you have yet to retain some common sense with regard to the situation as a whole. We've mentioned before, I think, it's not as if we came with a guidebook.
[Action]
[ he looked at his notes and then sighed. if he was at his home, no doubt he would have tossed them all over by now and then recline back with a pout on his face. the dramatics were there, although he was doing his best to not start up too much as he leaned back and tapped his fingers on top of the book next to him. ]
I suppose that we must wait for more information to reach us before going forward. I only felt that there are some things you needed an update on.
[Action]
This is exactly the problem. I grow tired of the endless ripping through one book or another having to comb through words with a fine tooth comb and finding nothing. [He blinked a few times, but then chanced to extend his comment.]
You more than anyone else here, knows me well enough, that I detest having to sit and simply carry on when there are various issues that need attention. Not least before they get any worse.
[What does a man of action do, when he cannot get out there and act due to the injury that keeps him off his feet?]
[Action]
[ a slight smile. Sephiroth was intellectual to a point but he wasn't like Genesis, able to bury himself in a pile of books for weeks if left to his own devices. ]
I do not doubt that what you fear may not be as terrible as you think once your leg is fully healed. You do tend to take on too much of a burden even when you are at full health.
[Action]
It would be hard for Genesis to miss that particular impatience in his once-friend.]
Perhaps. [Sephiroth narrowed his eyes a little strangely at the second comment. He'd only ever applied himself as fully as he was used to-] As for burdening myself, I do no such thing.
[Never mind, to so many others it might seem like too much for one man to take on. It was simply a matter of personal standards and how they were set.]
[Action]
[ oh he knew about that impatience. that was what made Sephiroth's willing emergence in the library at that old manor home so strange. even Genesis would have been hard pressed to spend too much time there, given that over half of the information was not something Genesis considered reliable. ]
You do so. You expect perfection and when you do not get it, especially from yourself, you tend to push yourself until you reach it.
[Action]
If Genesis wanted to consider an old library that Sephiroth hasn't even seen yet, he might do well to remember the events preceding it. Not too far into his future, Sephiroth will tear that place apart in less than a week looking for the answers Genesis belittled him with.]
There is nothing wrong with wanting to do your best. [It's how he's always been, after all.]
If you're going to do something, best to excel in it.
[There is, undoubtedly, something of a Hojo-ism there even if Sephiroth himself will deny it.]
