When we were out trying to track down that black mage hat moogle, we ran into some familiar faces. Well, familiar to me faces. And to some of you out there, too. It was those spies from the Magitek facility, and while there wasn't much I could do with them out in public in a crowded street, but at least I seemed to rain on their vacation, which was pretty fun at least.
Point is, they're still around. Even though we blew up Colonel Eyepatch pretty darn good, he's still trucking along. Much like how those who didn't make it through the fights with the three of them are fine now too. As a matter of fact, they asked how those folks were. By name. But considering whoever it is they're working with had one hundred-percent accurate statues of people I knew from back home? I'm going to say their recon network is good. A little too good. Knowing our names is the least of our problems.
Long story short: They're still around, which means they're probably still spying on us. Keep your eyes peeled.
For the new folks in town: I'm guessing none of that made sense. Someone can probably fill you in.
One last thing: Did anyone actually find any clues regarding that stupid moogle mage?

Marshall Sparks Nevada:
I heard about them. Did they only name the you guys, the ones who ran into them?
Also, from what I heard, the Moogle was hiding in the Continent of Balance. No idea what others found out.

They named Genesis too, who wasn't on my team inside the facility. Cloud was, though.
Oh, so only a whole continent to look through now? I guess that's a little closer than before...

Marshall Sparks Nevada:
Which Genesis? The one that was in my group was killed away from me, so she might have run into one of those spies.
You sure that guy you fought is still fine? It might be one of those doppelgangers or whatever.

That's a good point. Unless I try to knock his head off, I guess there's no way for me to know if he's one of them dopplegangers.
I'd be glad to try and knock his head off either way, you know.

..
That's all.
THE GREAT NINJA YUFFIE!

Yeah, great, thanks.
But for the record, I mentioned that and they seem pretty ticked about it.
--SN

Yeah.. I didn't ready the whole letter. I got angry part way through. I don't like those guys.
THE GREAT NINJA YUFFIE!

And I actually meant that I mentioned that to their faces.

Oh? Okay that's cool then... sorta
Why use your initials anyway?

When exactly are they spying us? When we're out of the town? I have to know!

PS: How's Mercury?

Someone in the Empire knows more about me than they possibly should, so for all I know it started before I even got here. So I have no idea when they're doing it. If I catch them within this city, they're going to jail so fast, it'll make their heads spin.
Mercury's fine. Why?

P.S. - Sparks. Not Sparky.

[She's actually adding exclamation points to her letter. Wow.]
I just wanted to know. I think about him sometimes.
[And the rest she just ignores.]
no subject
You know he stays in a shelter outside, right? Just visit him or something. House A-03.
--SN

We're neighbors? I didn't even notice. I've been living in A-02! I think I always go the other way!

Nice to see that you've made new friends. Did you say hi for me? They seem like they would be fun to hangg out with if they aren't killing us. No idea about the moogle, is yours looking fot a hat or something?
-Henry
no subject
Who said they're my friends? I would have had a shootout with them right then and their if I could have.
My guess is you haven't paid attention to the whole thing with the moogle in a black mage hat, trying to cast weird rituals and brainwash people? I figured that kind of weird stuff was right up you alley.
--SN

Sparks,
I haven't! I was feeling really sick when everyone went crazy and then last month I was lounging around on the beach. That kinda stuff is up my alley! Though usually I don't like people doing it to my friends like you Sparks. I want to be the one to do it with them nyahaha.
If I see him I'll be sure to put a fireball through his eyes.

I'm flattered. But the plan is to arrest him, interrogate him and find out what the heck this was all about.

[This comes a couple of days later-]
It sounds as if they have been doing their homework, whatever it is that would consist of, considering they didn't have a clue to any of our identities when we first encountered them.
I may go so far as to suggest that the Black Crystals might well have something to do with their accumulation of knowledge about us, though I do hope that a particular theory I heard from another is proven erroneous soon enough. Do we know how many of them were managed to be lifted from the Facility? We may have been chasing one, there could be others.
Whereabouts were these three, and how recently?

This was two weeks ago, in Trano Golsaucia.

I do wonder what our Black-Mage moogle friend might have to say about them. Once we're allowed to put questions forwards.
Thank you for the intelligence, Marshal.

Doing fine. Might bring him in soon for inspection, considering he's never been in snow before.

Alright. Find anything swanky out there in your adventures, officer?
no subject
If you're talking about the moogle, though, I sort of came up short on that front.

Sorry I've been out of the way for a little bit. I've heard varying little details of the Magitek Facility incident, so could you tell me what happened there? Both so that I can get caught up to speed, and, so that you can see if the things that happened there are making different kinds of sense now.
Well, the big question is obvious: Do you think the Magitek Facility and that moogle that was controlling you all are connected?
Kaji
no subject
We ran into those three spies in the facility, but only had it out with one of them. Deweg I think his name is. He put up one heck of a fight; Cloud didn't make it out alive, and me and Ashelia only barely did. We won though, and figured Deweg for dead. So either he wasn't, or the Empire can bring people back, or he's one of them dopplegangers.
Did I tell you about those?

I thought I tagged this with her
The only clue I found was that he stole sunscreen but I don't know how that helps.
-Yeul

Sunscreen? Why does a moogle need that? They're covered in fur.
