To all Heroes of Light

To whom it may concern,

I understand that it has only been a few short days since we saw that video, but I feel that I should reveal a few findings after doing some cross-referencing with my notes. This is more concerning the Interdimensional Rift mentioned in the video.

The first thing I've noticed is that we may have a Job that is tied in to this place - the Time Mage. I do not know the full extent of this, but I feel that this is something to look into deeply. This may be a dangerous weapon and we haven't realized it yet.

The other is.a project that is in Palitutu's Laboratory for some sort of portal into the Rift. I might be thinking things wrong, but I think we used this during that vision the Sage put us through. If what he said - knowledge without wisdom - is true, then we must have used this for something other that entering the Rift to see what's inside. I also feel that this is where the Shadows are lying in.

Of course, I'm not 100% certain on all of this, but it can't be a coincidence. If you have anything to add, please let me know

Madam,

I did not personally experience the vision; I have been told by others what happened though, not least of which my fate. Given that I have no wish for Death, I am sure I'm not alone in advising the utmost caution in any undertaking with the rift or understanding it. I also can speak, personally, to how beings operating under faulty information can bring about horrible consequences that then spiral far out of control.

That's exactly what I was thinking during our talk, but was too afraid to mention it. Then when the Heroes were sent back in time to Aqures Tosf--the result of which was the destruction of the city since monsters followed us to that place.

[ She hadn't believed in coincidence then, and doesn't now. ]

Then...there's also what we spoke about. The different timelines. And the common occurrence of more than one version of a Hero here. To me, it sounds like Time plays an important role in all of this.

I regret to say the opening of the Rift in that vision was in large part my fault. It was a rather short-sighted attempt to find a way back to our homeworlds. As I'm sure you know, it didn't go well.

Regarding the Shadows, your hypothesis isn't without merit. The Crystal manikins that emerged from the portal, as well as the ones that existed in the previous cycle, all resembled past Heroes. If they originated in the Rift, that would certainly establish a connection between us and that place.

We also know that at least one of the Avatars is in there and she brought us there last year, showing us our worst memories -- in other words, one of the things Shadows are supposed to embody if Kalki's explanation is to be believed. I can't say for certain if what we experienced was a form of meeting our Shadows, but the possibility is undeniable.

That said, I'm not eager to attempt opening the portal again, at least before we know what we're doing. After all, we weren't just attacked by the manikins, but also lost our capability to return from death. It's one of the few advantages we have right now.
