Standing Together to Ensure No One Falls

To Any and All Heroes of Light that might be interested:

Some time ago I spoke with a few individuals about starting up a small band of Knights, or a patrol if you will, that would serve as a shield to aide in further protecting this world and its many precious treasures; lives and livelihood. I realize that there is an existing government and an army for most of the neighboring kingdoms, but we were obviously brought here for some greater purpose. Perhaps it is acting as sword and shield, or maybe it might be laying down our lives to see that the Calamity is no longer a fear. Either way, I'm more fond of the idea of being proactive rather than sitting here and becoming a fixture.

I'd like to try and help those who know nothing of the sword or bow to at least be proficient enough at both, and I welcome any help in doing so. My hope is that neither ever need be used, but even if one person learns to respect both, and can use them to better help the people of this world, than I can die happy knowing what knowledge I know was used for the better.

If I've spoken with you before, please remind me. So much has happened since I last spoke of this I fear I've not been able to keep a good memory of who that might be. If I haven't spoken with you before, then by all means, please speak with me at your earliest convenience. I am aiming to begin training early in the mornings come the beginning of next week.

Thank you very much for the warm thoughts. I will do my best to remain in contact with you outside anything that the Knighthood might need, but I am eternally grateful for the selflessness you've shown me.

Here is hoping that things never reach a point where your efforts are needed, but all the same, it is good to know that I have your aide if needed.

      It's always lovely to hear from you, Link. I always feel so reassured every time I can confirm for myself that you're not snoring into your pillow endlessly, eee hee. And training a militia! Why, isn't that just so generous?

I'm sure it's obvious even to you that such an organization isn't exactly my cup of tea, but you do have me wondering... Would you be open to having your little -- band of willing recruits up for hire in the future? Someone like me for example would surely benefit from, say, escort services every now and then.

My hope was for this knighthood to be a proper guard for the world as a whole, not necessarily a group of "hired hands" to serve under any of the other heroes. If there is a need in which you.. well.. need the service of a bodyguard, than I suggest you take up an advertisement. As a friend, I offer my services should you need them, but doing so is not the cause for my trying to create this militia.

If there is ever anything I can do, all you need so is ask. But a small garrison I cannot provide. Forgive me.

      Oh come now, there's no need for all those formalities. After all we're... friends right? Eee hee! I was merely wondering how you intended to use the resource of heroes signing up, that's all. Wanting to provide a striking force such as this is a noble enough cause on it's own, I'm sure. I have no doubt that you'll provide many of them with an excellent chance to... hone their skills.

Should I need assistance in the future I'm sure that just you will be more than enough.

I wouldn't call it so much a "striking force" as it is an extra arm to assist where the kingdom needs it. I'd rather act as a shield when these people are put to arrows or a falling sky, and then as a sword to cut through whatever obstacles and prejudice might come their way.

Violence begets more violence, and the last thing I'd want is for people like you to come to harm's way because of some proactive assault against the enemies of this kingdom.

Either way, do not hesitate to let me know what it is you need when you need it.

Although I haven't received any training in archery, I do have experience with the sword. So if you think you could maybe use the help, I'd like to do whatever I can.

I should have enough wooden swords and bows strung up to hand out to everyone for their use. I can guarantee their quality will be the most that anyone could ask for. When the time comes for steel, then that will be when acquiring weapons will be needed. For now, I just look forward to seeing you on the first of the month. It will be a pleasure to finally meet you face to face.

Dear Link,

I have spoken with you before about this and I'm still very interested. I usually stay around the city only leave when there is something that needs the heroes help. This month I've been trying my best in the Blitzball tournament hoping to bring smiles to the populace who have yet to learn of the crystal and the threat to their home.

I want to keep doing that until the tournament is over. I want to see them smile.

If it's alright to meet up and help after that I am still interested in joining. There are a lot of people and family here I want to protect. I have a few skills that might be able to help as well so I shouldn't be to far behind with training even if I miss a few weeks.

I would be more than happy to share what I know of the bow if it ensures your mark is true, if the purpose of your arrow is to help those that cannot normally help themselves at the sign of an invasion.
