To Everyone!
[They will notice that this letter is written as if the person in question needs one of these worksheets. It is mostly legible.]
HELLO ALL
I AM LOOKING FOR MY BOTHER WIRT!!!!!
HE IS TALL AND LOUD.
WE ARE LOST IN THE WOODS AND HE IS TAKING US HOME
I CAN NOT FIND HIM
TELL ME IF YOU FIND HIM
GREGORY
[It is clear that his moogle hadn't help him write the letter.]

Dear Gregory,
Could you tell me more about your brother? Are you still lost in the woods?
Do you know where you are?
If you need help, we'll come get you.
Write back,
Asbel

HE IS TALL AND IS AN ELF!
[The words cut off and a far more elegant hand replaces them.]
Please excuse my hero. He is young and still learning grammar. I am Kite, his moogle and please do not worry. He isn't lost besides being in this world. He had been in a wooded area with his brother, Wirt, right before waking up here. We were hoping to see if anyone has spotted the boy. From what I've gathered Wirt is a high school student and is dressed as a Gnome for Halloween. Which of course this world celebrates as the night of thirteen moogles. If you could please advise.
Thank you,
Kite

Wow, he's that tall? He must be amazing. I'll look for Wirt and tell you if I see him. I'll ask my friends to look for him, too.
If you start to feel lonely, maybe we can do something fun together sometime. What games do you like?
Asbel
Dear Kite,
Thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately I'm not really familiar with either of the holidays you described, and I haven't yet met anyone who matches that description. If you haven't done so already, maybe you could inform the local law enforcement? They might have seen Wirt. I'll let the others at the Heroes Guild know as well, so they can be on the lookout for him.
Best regards,
Asbel Lhant

EVERYONE LOOKS TALL TO ME
BECUZ I AM A LITTLE KID WHAT FUN THING CAN WE DO HERE?
KUPA IS NO FUN
GREGORY
[Once again Kite's write at the bottom of the letter.]
Dear Asbel Lhant,
That is alright. They are holidays that both take place in the fall. I have been told Halloween involves candy. Either way any help would be appreciated. I will be contacting the Heroes Guild but I have a feeling that his brother wasn't brought here yet so I can only hope. I haven't had the heart to explain that to Gregory yet but I will in time.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

The city has lots of fun things to do!
You can play ball or run around in the grass.
We have a card game called Triple Triad.
On windy days, you can fly a kite. Lots of other things too.
When I was a little kid I liked to dig for shiny rocks and make friends with the other kids*. How old are you?
Asbel
P.S. Kite is okay. He just wants to take care of you.
Dear Kite,
Sounds rough... I hope he'll be all right, and that someone can find Wirt if he's around. Otherwise, I think Gregory will be safe as long as he doesn't wander outside of the city by himself. A friend of mine arrived recently and the Heroes took very good care of her until we were able to meet up with one another. I think I speak for most of us when I say that we're willing to lend a hand, if he gets to be too much.
Asbel
[*And a bunch of other things that are way too dangerous for him to suggest to a little kid! He could get seriously hurt.
Funny how time changes people.]no subject
I LIKE ROCKS! THATS A ROCK FACT!
[The rest of the letter is a crud drawing of a rock.]
Dear Asbel,
Thank you for your help and concern. It's nice to hear that the heroes are so supportive of each other. From the stories Gregory has told me he's faced his own shares of dangers but I admit I don't think I want him having to face the things I know are outside the city limits. Regrettably, he doesn't seem inclined to heed my warnings.
Thank you,
Kite.
no subject
Gregory,
Oh hey, nice! You look really happy.
Rocks are cool, huh? If I find any, I'll have Tern bring them to you.
Asbel
Dear Kite,
Wow... Even at his age. Yeah, I think I know exactly what you mean about not heeding the warnings. I was pretty stubborn myself when I was a boy, and whenever someone told me not to do something, it made me want to do it that much more, just to prove I could.
Hang in there,
Asbel
no subject
THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
KAPUU SAYS TO WRITE THANK YOU.
GREG
Dear Asbel,
Let us hope he isn't as unruly as you were when you were a child. Of course I will need to return to the mognet office and I can only hope that you and the other heroes will watch after him should you see him.
Thank you,
Kite
no subject
No problem. I'll talk to you again real soon!
And if I'm lucky, I'll send a rock with the next letter.
Take care,
Asbel.
Dear Kite,
Yeah, let's hope not. And I definitely will if I see him.
Thanks again for your help.

GREG AND KUPA.

[ Maternal instincts activate /shot ]Gregory,
Would you like me to come pick you up in the forest, sweetie?
I'm going to need more on your brother, so I can look for you.
-Selen
P.S. You are free to follow the grumpy Moogle out of the forest as well if you can. Please keep me updated.
no subject
I DO NOT SEE A FOREST ANYMORE. I NED TO FIND IT BECAUS MY BROTHR IS THERE.
[The words cut off there and a far more elegant hand takes over.]
Good Afternoon Selen,
I apologize for my young hero. He isn't lost in the forest any more though he is currently in the city. He is looking for his brother Wirt. Who, from my understanding, is still currently lost in the woods. If you could please advise I would be most appreciative. I am not accustom to working with children.
Thank you,
Kite
no subject
You should be a bit careful, child. It's not too safe here.
I see, perhaps I should give him a hand in helping. A child should not be wandering so carelessly on their own and no worries, Kite. I am able to assist if need be.
Please follow Galahad, he will lead you and Gregory to a safe location and I shall meet you both there if that may suffice?
- Selen

I apologize that Gregory isn't writing but he is looking at me a little confused. I assume you we are safe. We are at a cafe in the 14th district I believe. You are of course welcome to join us though I don't know how long Greg will want to say here before moving on. He's a little stubborn though I've convinced him to stay within the city limits.
Thank you,
Kite
no subject
I see. Well I hope he doesn't get too confused. I will find you both at the cafe in 14th district then. I am content to hear that you are both safe. I'd like to see if he's safe is all.
I see, please continue your hard work.

Then the wolfs big jaws came crunching down where we were hiding. Then Wirt found out that the wolf was after my candy! So I threw the last piece off the roof! Then the wolf turned into a dog! I think cuz he ate a black turtle. Those are tricky turtles.
[At the end of his story he walks up to the counter staring up at the store clerk, who waves before going about his business.]
no subject
Black turtles, dogs, wolves, and big jaws mm?
[ She chime approaching the other. ]
My what an adventure you seemed to have had.
no subject
[Greg smiles up at her holding his pet frog in his hands.]
Elwood was there! He can tell you.
[The frog croaks once in response.]
My brother Wirt is really smart! He was going to take on the Beast.
no subject
[ Selen greeted the frog with a pat on its head when he said that. ]
Was he now. Elwood, why don't you tell me what kind of fun adventures this young man has been on?
[ Oh it croaked. She chuckled. ]
Have you eaten, Greg? My name is Selen. I was the one you and Kite were writing with. This is Galahad.
no subject
Kite did the writing and he read them to me too. I can read but I don't like it. Reading is for school.
[The mention of food makes him smile.]
I had breakfast but it's lunch time right?
[He looks over at Kite as if asking his moogle what the time was.]
no subject
Ah, but reading is good for growing young boys. You'd be able to read everything and you won't have to rely on adults all the time.
[ She nodded her head. ]
Yes something like that. How about we go to the front and order something, my treat?
no subject
Okay!
[He quickly runs up to the counter with a wide smile.]
Stew Please! And Bread! And Pumpkin!
no subject
Yes, I'll have the soup and bread.
[ She replied as the boy shouted his order. Once that was done, she paid for it ]
Is there anything else you want sweetheart?
no subject
Nope.
[He wants to go home but he's already discovered that that's a question you don't ask.]
Did Kite call you?
[Greg asks curiously as he walks over to his moogles table. His frog is already there in one of the seats and Greg moves to sit next to him.]
no subject
[ Well, it's something that can't be helped. If she could take him home, she would have for sure. Unfortunately that wasn't the case right now. ]
Well, something like that. Though, I'm kind of the type of woman that doesn't let children get lost here~
no subject
I am lost. I need to find my way home.
[He is sure that Wirt got there and he had manged to wander off and get lost. His brother would yell at him when he got home but it's worth it.]
no subject
I know this might be hard for you to understand sweetheart, but there is no way you will be able to get home but I will offer my assistance to you, if that chance comes.
no subject
I can't give up. Anything is possible.
[He isn't the type to lose hope. It might just take awhile.]
no subject
[ She replied with a soft smile on her face. Such a hopeful child. ]
no subject
Okay. I already have a house here and Kite's going to by me a little guitar.
A Ukulele.
[Kite corrects Greg before going back to his writings.]
no subject
That's wonderful to hear. Will you be alright on your own, and what's a Ukulele?
[ She mused taking a bite of her soup. ]
no subject
[Kite is going to say nothing on that but he will say what a Ukulele is.]
It's a smaller instrument Kupo. It is shaped like a guitar but higher pitched. It's a four string instrument.</font
no subject
[ Selen raised a brow but didn't really question what Kite had to say. She had to admit, these Moogle creatures were rather intelligent beyond her understanding. She was just going to enjoy her meal as she listened to the explanation. ]
Oh I see. I've never really seen a four string instrument or a guitar for the matter, but silly ol' me. I'm from a place where things like that were probably nonexistent. Thank you for explaining it to me, Kite.
Greg when you are done, allow me to walk you to your residence at least.
no subject
Dear Gregory,
My name is Lydia. I have not seen your 'brother', although if you tell me more about him I can help you look? Where are you right now? Are you still lost in the woods?
Sincerely,
Lydia
[Betel-Po is given instructions to deliver in person, and wait for a response. If nothing else to keep an eye on him.]
no subject
This is Kite, Gregory's moogle, I saw what he had been writing and decided to take the paper away from him because it hadn't made much sense. He is alright. We are currently in town looking for his brother though I doubt he is here.
Thank you for your concern. I'm afraid, I'm not the best with kids and Gregory is at times a little hard to understand. From what I have gathered, his brother is wearing a gnome costume and he was last seen around their camp fire before Gregory woke up here.
If you happen to see him please let us know.
Thank you,
Kite
no subject
Dear Kite,
How old is he? I've...done a BIT of baby-sitting before, but I also have a packed schedule of my own adjusting here. Which doesn't mean I'm not willing to lend a hand if you need it. I'll definitely keep my eyes open.
Sincerely,
Lydia

Gregory is 9 and while I do believe he has a good head on his shoulders. I think he likes to play pretend and he doesn't take his situation here very seriously. I'd be happy if you could keep an eye on him some days when I must return to the mognet office. I'm fearing this new position might take up more time than I had suspected.
I've been assured that the other heroes can keep an eye on Greg. All I ask is if you see the young boy without me by his side that you ask what he's doing and make sure he isn't leaving the city.
Thank you for your concern and help in this matter,
Kite.
