To All Heroes
[A brightly colored flyer arrives for every hero, the advertisement clearly the brainchild of a moogle very eager to help her Hero as well as the others.]
PREPARE NOW WITH HALEY'S ANVIL
Now more than ever, with the crystallization receding, a greater diversity of work materials is available -- which means Haley's Anvil will be able to fill more custom orders than ever! Need a new sword or armor? A protective amulet? Want something customized and styled, just for you?
The world isn't going to save itself -- let us help you do it! Bring your orders to Haley's Anvil now!
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to further research projects benefiting Crystallis.

Can you make this look cooler?
[He points to the blanket, which Mimi thankfully and wordlessly unwraps.]
no subject
Wow.
[He wasn’t sure what to expect with a big red wagon full of “stuff,” but he supposed he should have seen the Magitek Armor coming from the teensie.]
You just want it to... look “cooler?”
[He shot Ales a skeptical look over his shoulder as he went to inspect the armor and other contents of the cart. He’d absorbed enough of the vernacular to assume that Ales meant for it to look “better,” not simply a matter of changing its temperature. But a new paint job didn’t exactly require a blacksmith.]

[What kind of person would fight Garland in a drab set of armor? There would be no impression to make.]
...And you can paint it black.
lost this
Let me understand... All of your requests are purely cosmetic? That is why you brought this to me?
[Albel wasn't sure if he should be offended or not. It was an easy job, sure, and he could do it. But he could do so much more. To be given such low expectations seemed insulting.]
Ales doesn't have his priorities straight
[Therefore: get the blacksmith to spend his time on this personal project.]
How much is this job?
no subject
[Well, fine. If Ales didn't want better, he wouldn't get it. No sense giving the machine any finery or improvements when the pilot didn't deserve it. If Ales wanted to pay him for something stupid, Albel would charge Ales something stupid.]
Two thousand gil.
no subject
You're kidding. [He stands up straight and cross his arms.] You know I used to be a peddler of sorts before I became an engineer. I know what this is worth.
Five hundred gil.
Action
Someone's been a busy little Moogle. [ She places a kiss on his cheek. ] So, any takers yet?
Re: Action
Well…
[He gestured at the red wagon in the corner, a huge heap of something covered in a large blanket. Apprentice craftsmen (and craftsmoogles) bustled about in the back, retrieving materials and crystals, heating and shaping hot metal over the anvil, arranging the “fingers” of a half-finished claw on a workbench. A gunshot was heard from the backyard testing area.]
I got a Magitek Armor?
[Among every other strange thing he’d been asked to build, that was perhaps the biggest surprise. He gently took the katana from Sheena.]
Does this need to be sharpened?
no subject
Well...?
[ Her gaze followed his gesture, and her eyes widened at the large heap in the corner. The gunshot made her jump slightly and chuckle. Guns obviously weren't her forte--except when equipping Warrior. ]
You got a what?
[ She went over to peek under the blanket, her lips parting into an excited grin. ]
Albel, that's great! [ It showed a trust earned. Handing over the katana, she nodded. ] It does, and for some reason, I can't find my sharpening stones. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?
[ And if not him, then a certain Moogle might. ]

[Albel smiled -- it was weird, but he found he enjoyed the teensie's company. And getting to work on a Magitek armor was a new and rare challenge. He had to admit, he was kind of excited to work on it.]
[He frowned, though, that Sheena's stones were gone.]
Why would I have moved them? That would have impeded your ability to maintain your own weapons. It makes no sense.
no subject
[ She smiled back. Although she didn't know Ales too well, she liked the teensie, too. And knowing he trusted Albel with this armor only made her pride in him grow.
Seeing his frown, she shook her head and sighed--a little knowingly. ]
I had a feeling you didn't--though I think I know who did. Now, I just gotta figure out what Corrine is up to. [ A pause. ]
Has Mogdelina been acting strange lately?
no subject
No more than usual. Still swinging around her little knife, "training" to be a hero.
[He'd long given up on trying to stop her. In fact, her efforts weren't entirely in vain. She'd become surprisingly "heroic" with Ophelia and Bonnie by her side.]
Perhaps she intended to sharpen your blade?
no subject
No, I don't think it was her. [ She smiles impishly. ] I'm thinking more along the lines of Corrine using them to sharpen Mogdelina's blade for her.
[ Is she implying Corrine has a crush? You'd better believe it. ]
Backdated as necessary
Thanks for the offer. I know we're running out of time but I had a couple things I wanted to ask for. I've been shopping around for a shield and I think we talked about it once maybe? Basically something I can use in tandem with the sword(s) that belong to my future self. If you can find a way to put a gunblade in there too that would be great.
