Letter to Santa

Dear Aoi,

Jumpy is doing just fine, and so am I. I know you're prone to worry, so I thought I'd save you some time and just let you know everything is okay. I found someone who's training me to defend myself, and I asked Cid if I could take on a job as a Magitek Knight so I can learn some basic combat techniques. I still think it's best if I keep jobs that let me stay in the back until I'm confident enough in my skills, and a giant suit of battle armor seems like a good way to do that, don't you think?

Speaking of which, could I borrow some money to spend at O'aka's shop? They're having a huge sale on Magitek Armor and puppets for Engineers (that's another Job I want to learn, so I can be better at the laboratory). The best part? They're styled after Moogles! I guess if we're going to be fighting against the forces of evil, we may as well do it looking cute, right? XD

Letter to Squall

Dear Squall,

I'm happy to report that I requested the Magitek Knight job! Just in case you were wondering if I went through with it. I did! I'm not sure what I'll be required to do in order to earn it, but I should be ready to start using it in earnest in October.

Let me know when you're rested and ready to start defense training. I don't want to rush you, last month was stressful and exhausting for everybody. I just want you to know that I'm ready and willing to begin when you are. Thank you so much for all of this. I promise, I'm a quick learner. I won't let you down!

You know I'll get you anything that you need. Just make sure to stay far away from the actual fighting. Giant armor sounds good, but don't let anything try to force you onto the front line.

I can deal with Oaka for you if you want. He seems like a sketchy bastard, so we should get along just fine. Hopefully he'll take credit.

I can come over whenever you want. Have you been practicing those recipes we went over? You'll be better than I am in no time!
