Hi, Everybody!

I'm Yachiru Kusajishi. This place is nice, I guess. I still miss home and my stuff. But being a ninja and dragoon is really fun! There are lots of places to explore. Plus, I can fight lots of different monsters and I can play with the Chocobos. I really like them. They're so big and fluffy. Do you think if I ask really nice, I can take one home? I would take good care of it!

If anyone ever sees a really big guy with spike hair and bells named Ken-chan, can you tell me? I want to draw a picture to show what he looks like, but I don't have any crayons or pencils.

PS There are lots of places with really yummy food, but I can't find the candy shop. I was gonna eat some the marshmallow stuff, but Maki-chi promised we would get normal marshmallows.

Kompeito's a bit difficult to make here but I can definitely do cookies. When I do make a batch, I'll be sure you'll get some too. You know what? I think I'll make a batch when I'm done with work today. Can you wait until tonight and where do you live? I'd like to drop them off myself and meet you face to face.

[Sure enough later in the evening, a figure cloaked in an assassin's garb is carrying a nice size tin. The hood is pulled back to reveal Saori's face and she knocks on the door of B-13.]

Yachiru? It's Saori. I brought those cookies I promised you~!

[Yachiru hears the knock and rushes toward the door. With the help of Minako, who turns the door knob, Yachiru tugs open the door. Spotting Soari, along with the cookie tin, she opens the door as wide a possible]

HI Sao-chan! You really came!

[Inner mom instincts just wants to pick her up but no that would be an invasion of private space. She beams at the girl.Upon hearing the nickname, she cracks into a smile.

Of course, Yachiru. When I make a promise, I always do my best to fulfill them.

[She opens the tins and crouches down so Yachiru can see the cookies. There's several rows of chocolate and vanilla checkerboard cookies. Things she learned from being a mom: always have cookie dough ready to bake stashed away.]

Go ahead and have one and your moogle too if they like some.

[Yachiru stares at the cookies in wonder and awe. While she has seen this particular kind, she only has eaten them a handful of times back home. Taking two cookies, holding one up for her Maki to take, she takes a bite from the remaining cookie and chews it happily. She polishes off the other half in two bites before grinning up at Saori. Minako, having taken the offered cookie, nibbles on her treat slowly]
