I think it's less a fear that you would, kupo, Yuffie. More that others in his past might have. I know he had a job before that was very dangerous and required lots of secrets kept. Intrigue and espionage and blackmail were probably commonplace kupo. So part of his want of privacy is leftover from that, simply because it gives people one less thing to use against someone.
