Letters Before Departure
Letters, to be delivered directly by Bonnie as opposed to the Moogle post
Lady Ashelia,
I regret I have not had the chance to speak to you as much as I'd like after our return from the Imperial capital. I have many thoughts that I am still rolling over in my mind concerning the discoveries we've made there. In addition there was an artifact I recovered and I am still waiting to see what can be made of it.
At this point I am waiting for the pieces before me to fall into place so I must instead focus on what I can do. I will be in Aerilon for the rest of the month, aiming to gain the trust of the seedier elements there. They are closer to that which I am treating with back where I come from. With any luck I will be able to find us a foothold there in the coming months.
If there are any matters you wish to discuss, please attempt to contact me directly. I will have Bonnie wait at the ruins of the old police station daily in the case of coming mail.

Master Ramza,
I hope this letter finds you well. Combat practice with you has been enjoyable but for the time being I must see to some personal matters. I hope this month finds us with a lull in the activity we've found us in so that I can begin planning for the future.
If you find yourself still interested in the matters and philosophy I've discussed with you previously, please find me in Aerilon. I'll be there all month and Bonnie will be waiting for any incoming wail at the ruins of the old police station. Direct contact would be preferred over all other methods.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am glad to hear more directly of your safety; doubly so to know of your plans. The nature of your endeavor seems like exactly what we need moving forward to help stabilize our operations. Do let me know if there is any way I can be of assistance; my contacts within Aqures Ixen are growing slowly but surely.
Godspeed,
Lady Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca

Forgive my delayed reply. I had to get things prepared for my trip, especially with the airships flights canceled. I gave this letter to Bonnie to deliver from the ship we're on crossing the sea. I'm still not sure how she manages it but she's a good companion to have by my side.
I find myself still troubled by what I saw in that prison at times. Kaliki's words fill me with worry and that she knew my identity is even more troubling. I suspect she did indeed have a way to gather information from our crystals or else those of the people still trapped there. And that is simply the most personal of my concerns of the aftermath of that adventure.
At least the work on this ship keeps my mind occupied. I will keep you abreast of any changes and when I arrive in Aerilon. I am already working to establish some contacts here and now. With any luck I will be no less successful when we make landfall.
Yours,
Mary Read
