Letter to Mikleo and Flynn

Mikleo and Flynn,

There is still a great deal of humanity I'm struggling to understand, and about myself as well. But for whatever reason, I know that you are both important to me, enough that I would not hesitate to end my existence to preserve yours. No need to balk at that, that's simply what it is.

In that regard, I feel it is necessary to apologize for endangering both of you when I refused to accept the reality of my situation. For so long I have wanted to be human that I never thought to consider what I would do once I'd achieved the one goal I've desired since the day I first drew breath. I am not the person I imagined I would become, and it will take time to accept this. I may not have enough time to truly understand. Nonetheless, I've come far, and I know that your unwavering friendship and loyalty, even when it was far from deserved, played a large part in my seeming metamorphosis.

Thank you for your patience. It is strange to feel hope, or to care for someone other than myself. Nonetheless, it is there. Whatever comes of the future, I hope our friendship will not end with the defeat of the Calamity.
