Jack shakes his head. "Hey, 20th, 21st centuries are a pretty nice place to live. There's so much changing, humanity's right on the edge of all these new innovations. No space travel, no time travel...yet. But it's on its way. And, you've got things like Broadway." Tiny smirk.
"That's one hell of a coincidence, but my own organization, and this other guy in the 'Save The Universe' club, just kept coming back to Great Britain. We tell ourselves that it was a coincidence, instead of maybe thinking it was our faults that invasions kept sparking off from that point."
Jack waves his hands to illustrate his point. "The more we go to that geographic location, the more things get messed up, the more technology gets left behind, the greater the infrastructure of that one area gets built up, and then, the more that looks like the prime location to invade from anyone looking at the planet from the outside." He shakes his head. "At least I had the excuse of the rift being in one physical spot. Everything else? We might have contributed to the problem."
