To Aoi-the-Santa, throughout December

Dear Aoi,
I know we haven't talked much since October, even after dealing with your Shadow, and we might not ever get along again, but I wanted to let you know that I truly meant what I said back then. I do want to be your friend despite everything you did, but I am afraid of being betrayed by someone I trust.
I get that it's hard to pick between two paths. I always had my friends decide what to do with my life for me, and it's pretty much the same here. I just do whatever people tell me to. But in the end, picking the people you care about is nothing like that. You don't abandon one person if you're taking care of another.
That's something easier to say in writing than out loud.
Sometimes you have to hurt people for the good of others, but if you keep it all a secret and don't think twice about what you're doing, it's scary. I didn't want to think the Aoi I loved was a killer who could cut off ties with friends. And I know you're not, but I don't want it to happen again.
What I want to say is that I'm willing to listen to you. I did care about you, and I still do.
